  1. If all the main political parties are backing a "stay in" vote, do you think the UK public will vote against that? The UK public aren't noted for their rebellious nature. If it looks like it's getting close, they will just roll out the royal family to help push them over the line. I don't think it will be close though.
  2. You could use your list vote if there is anybody near the top of a list that you think might not be a kurnt.
  3. Who didnae? I've heard that even the ECHR has been notified.
  4. Relegated before the split and Scottish Cup in the same season?
  5. He was being more than disrespectful. He was totally taking the pish, and we loved it. Denis Law wisnae too happy though.
  6. So, you voted "arse gravy" as well then? I think at least half the "arse gravy" votes should be counted as positive. Maybe more.
  7. I think you are wrong. You've had a good run, but it had to happen one day. The media will back the folk who are backing Cameron. I predict over 60% "in" with 60% turnout if it's good weather. It will be almost as boring as the AV referendum.
  8. I don't think Callmedave gives a fuk either way. He is just a fairly wealthy puppet for the proper, really wealthy money men backing him. He will say, and do, whatever they tell him. If they told him to, he would happily shag a pig live on TV. You're right, the only big weapon the "outers" have in their armoury is the pommy Englander's fear of Jonny Foreigner. The "inners" will just continually, over and over, and over tell folk that leaving the EU will have virtually no impact on immigration. It will eventually become so obviously true that most folk will wonder why they are having a referendum at all.
  9. I can't see how the EU referendum would affect which party folk vote for. There are plenty folk in the SNP who want out of the EU. There are plenty unionists who want to stay in. What might be interesting is how the EU referendum could affect a future independence referendum. I think it would only have an impact if the UK vote out and Scotland votes in, which I think is an unlikely outcome anyway.
  10. I would have thought that the best person to answer that question would be yourself. Seems a bit strange that you are asking us what you are going to do. Why would voting for a party other than the SNP make any difference to whether we leave, or stay in the EU? Whether the SNP get 70 seats or 10 seats in May wouldn't make any difference to the EU referendum, would it?
  11. Aye. I thought arse gravy was a positive as well. If it isn't then I want my vote back. I mean, if it wasn't for arse gravy, where would we be? Sitting on the pan straining to force one out without any lubrication, that's where we would be. That wouldn't be a good position to be in IMO.
  12. Aye, no source of energy is totally safe but if an oil refinery goes ballistic the range of the fallout is relatively limited. If a nuclear reactor goes into meltdown it can have serious repercussions for a good chunk of the planet.
  13. Och min. Ruthie in a cheerleaders outfit? You've jist put me aff my tea. Could be worse I suppose. At least Wullie Rennie won't be doing any cheer leading.
  14. Those old reactors were once new and the state of the art design. We were told they were safe. Just like they are today telling us the new ones are safe. Some folk have longer memories than others. I don't think just being able to store nuclear waste is a viable long term option. My main objection though, is that there is just no need for it. The Sun can continue to provide us with enough energy for thousands of generations. We just need to learn how to harness a tiny, tiny fraction of the vast power of the Sun.
  15. A lot of folk don't realise that electricity is only a fraction of our energy use. I'm not really bothered too much about where my electricity comes from but I would prefer it if there wasn't a nuclear reactor within 3000 miles of my house. Accidents can and do happen. We have a giant nuclear reactor about 93 million miles away, which is close enough for my liking. We just need to learn how to use it better. If we had invested as much time and money into fusion as we have done with fission we might have a viable reactor by now but of course the concentration on fission was more about bombs than energy.
