  1. For the SNP to achieve the 45% this poll suggests, based on the 2010 election, we would need approx 1.1m votes. As we know 1.6m people voted Yes, how many of these people do we think will go back into the booth and vote SNP?
  2. I live in Alexander's constuency and support the SNP. It will be tough to oust him but he has lost a lot of support with his cosying up to the Tories. A majority voted Yes in Inverness and one thing that united all yes voters was an utter hatred of Alexander. The key will be getting those who voted Yes to vote SNP, do that & Alexander will be a goner.
  3. I think the more coverage he gets the better. The key to SNP success in May will depend on getting as many of the 1.6m who voted Yes to vote SNP. In my opinion he is only appealing to Labour voters who voted No and there is no where near enough of them to save Labour in May. The more the Yes voters see of him the more they will remember how much they detested him during the Referendum campaign and this in turn will motivate them to get back into the polling booth again.
  4. Policewoman shot dead in Paris this morning...... Hopefully this is not the can of worms that it is showing worrying signs of.....
  5. Not sure what direction it was heading but I imagine if its AtoB was Aalborg to Runcorn then the route would take it through the Pentland Firth around the Northwest of Scotland then down through the Irish Channel. I may be wrong though.....
  6. Exactly my thoughts!!! FFS 8 people are missing presumed drowned at one end of the UK, at the other there's a few million pounds worth of cars stuck on a sandbank and its top billing. Sad.
  7. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-30667084 Doesn't sound good for the crew No may-day issued, last contact with vessel was at 1pm yesterday. Aberdeen to Shetland ferry spotted the upturned hull at 14.30 today.
  8. If a large majority of the 1.6m Yes voters go out and vote SNP, Labour seats will fall all over the country. I believe this WILL happen.
  9. I haven't been following this as closely as others but while it looks like Brown was a 'bad egg' & probably did approach/threaten/attack the officer, when & where is it deemed appropriate for an officer to fire 12 shots in self defence? Many of these shots were allegedly fired when Brown was wounded and on his knees or crouched over. Would the verdict on Wilson have been the same if this had been a white on white, black on white or black on black killing?
  10. I do not fear their central midfielders, I expect Brown & Mulgrew to dominate them. Our forward four will cause their full backs and centre halfs plenty problems. However, I fear Rooney, Wellbeck & Lallana will cause our centre halfs & Whittaker (if he starts) a lot of problems simply because of their pace. Robertson will cope just fine and pose them questions when going forward. Taking all that into account there's nothing more to fear than when we played Ireland & Poland, Germany had much more to fear but we competed with them. All in all, I would say 2-2 or maybe reverse last years scoreline
  11. Wish I was there now!!!!! But the radio has never sounded so good!!!! Felt like the old days when I was boy with just the radio to listen to on international nights.
  12. Wow...... Never gave it much thought but I have had the slow punch dream all my life since I was a wee boy, frustrating as f@ck!!!
  13. Christ man, you're definitely a glass half empty chap Big turnout being reported everywhere that WILL translate to A LOT MORE Yes votes.
  14. This is the last day of Scotland as we know it & it boils down to this. Hope over fear, positivity over negativity, happiness over depression, truth over lies & peace over anger. We have two choices: Hope, Positivity, Happiness, Truth & Peace or Fear, Negativity, Depression, Lies & Anger. By voting Yes tomorrow you will feel good, you will feel part of something special, you will feel part of history & you will put Scotland's future & destiny in our OWN hands. Vote No & you are happy to consign our people to more of the same, to nothing better whilst placing the future of Scotland in the hands of the Westminster elite who have failed us for centuries & will fail us for evermore. From a Yes vote tomorrow we will begin the journey to our promised land, it won't be quick, it won't be smooth but in time we will get there & each & everyone of us will look back with pride at the day we voted Yes. From a No vote tomorrow, the harsh reality will hit us very quickly when promises of more power become stuck in the quagmire of Westminster Politicians who will revolt against their leaders & block Scotland getting what she was promised whilst poverty grows, food banks grow, our young continue to die in foreign conflicts & our wealth will continue to fund Trident, London & the House of Lords. Tomorrow we vote for the people of Scotland & for the future of our children's children. Tomorrow we vote YES. Feel free to share my words if you wish to folks.
  15. Today was an amazing day. Canvassed a very affluent part of Inverness this afternoon. Big houses, big money, fancy cars, retired folk, average age prob 55-65. Classic No territory. 13 Yes, 11 No, 2 undecided. Email this morning from an undecided friend, very scared, prob No. Email back with blue book link, she's now a Yes. Undecided woman at my gig tonight, late 60's, wants to vote Yes but not brave enough. She's brave enough now after a 5 minute chat. Definite Yes. Opinion Polls tonight, showing Yes still on the march despite the last two days big push from No. What a day, what a day. Daring to dream......

  17. Today has been a weird day...... A definite lull in proceedings, certainly from the press. Also FB & the TAMB quiet as well. Nerves were creeping in earlier & for the first time during the whole campaign I began to have negative thoughts, mostly centered around the 65+ age group & the silent people who have not engaged in the debate at all but will flood to the polling stations to vote NO on Thursday. BUT then, half an hour ago, I took a wander to the shop & my mood is once again soaring. 3 or 4 days ago there were plenty YES signs in house windows around me but today there are absolutely fecking loads, at least twice the amount there were a few days ago I live in Inverness, is this being replicated around the country?
  18. Here is me & band song for independence. I wrote this when the referendum was announced & it features on our debut album. Hope you like it folks
  19. Stapes, that is a fantastic piece of writing. Shared on my FB, I hope many more follow suit.
  20. The pictures of Glasgow, Elgin etc, the talk of polls showing a Yes lead and the general feeling I am hearing and seeing around the country are giving me goosebumps on a monumental scale. I have always hoped & believed but now I am daring to dream.............
