I never felt chelsea was the right club for a youngster. Gilmour looked great last season as did other chelsea youngsters however lampard was forced to play them because of their transfer ban. Im happy to be proven wrong but id be surprised if a new chelsea manager would give Gilmour much chances

Edit Aberdeen didnt reject 7m from villa, they rejected an apprroach from villa which would have seen mckenna go on trial to villa with a view to possibly moving permanently 6 months later, the approach was made on deadline day too which would have left aberdeen with one less centre back and no gaurantee of money. Its not really that strange, I am no fan of the EPL but even I know a chelsea manager lasts about 2 or 3 seasons at most if they are successful and their owner doesn't mind pulling the trigger if the club is off the pace. I had to check the table but they sit 9th in that league, thats a sackable offence in their owners eyes.
