irnbruman
I know about the sicily malta ferry. Considering mainland to sicily on the ferry and then either flying to malta from palermo .or training it from palermo to pozzana i think where ferry to malta goes. After all that pissin about in italy . ill be flying back direct.
ironbrew
Train from mainland to Sicily goes on the boat (like one from Germany to Denmark). See Malta sections of Railbookers or seat61
DeeRus
John, you might be able to see this trip on the BBC series, "Great Continental Railway Journeys", as it was featured on there a wee while back. I think at the time they were talking about taking it out of service and just using a passenger ferry, so you'd pick up a different train at the other side. But don't worry, its definitely still in service (or as I recall!) Paul
irnbruman
Ive read about that train- but I'm intent on doing an overnight ferry as opposed to the train. I'll just keep my eye out for the different options and ferry timetables.
