  1. That's because there's nothing wrong with it. All I did wrong was point a withering finger of blame at the doorstep of Cardiff city... and then KABOOM! The TAMB volcano erupted. So, either we have a dozen or so secret Cardiff fans in the house, a bunch of garden variety social media snowflakes who make it their lives work to be offended or a bunch of the same old faces who have a bit of dislike towards me. The last two probably gets it 50/50. I mean, God, someone made a (distasteful) "joke" in this thread about Cardiff vs Leicester being "El Crashico" and it gets no reaction whatsoever. Meanwhile, I suggest that Cardiff might be liable as they green-lighted their record signing to fly around in a one engine light aircraft was made in 1984 and I get an unholy amount pelters.
  2. People using the word "Tea" for dinner. "I'm going to eat my Tea". Tea is a drink! How can you eat Tea?!
  3. I'd say that Neil Lennon was more important to Hibs than any of their players, so to sack Lennon is incredibly stupid. The fact that the Hibs players don't like being held to accountability should be alarming to their fans. The fact that Lennon could only motivate the players when they played against Celtic and Rangers tells you more about the mentality of the players than the management of Neil Lennon. Same thing happened with Craig Bellamy. The youth players at Cardiff accused him of being "Anti English" all because he turned the English national anthem down when they were watching the World Cup. And that was cited in Bellamy's case. I'd say the same thing happened at Man United, too. There's no doubt that the players downed tools because Mourinho was being Mourinho. Back in the day when the players were challenged by the manager they raised their game by a gear or two, to stick the manager's words down his throat. Nowadays they go running to teacher (Chairmen). Snowflake central.
  4. Oh. That's what it says. And yes, I read it before I posted it. "All flesh in which is the breath of life, everything that is of the earth" Must've been a big-ass boat! And how about space for the food and feaces? If you choose to take that book(s) as literal then I feel sorry for you.
  5. That's true, Matteo was born in Scotland and Dembélé was born in England.
  6. Yeah, sorry about being snippy, I just thought you were trying to be a smartarse, but it's just how you post. However, the Bible IS a load of complete nonsense. You don't have to have all the facts and details. Apparently Noah build an Arch big enough to store two of every animal, which is absurd for anyone to achieve, let alone a man of 600 years of age. That detail in itself makes it clear that it's a story book.
  7. As stated Sullivan seemed to turn up a lot, even when he knew that he'd be the bench. I also think Devlin was proud to play for us, lots of his family are Scottish and he said this after making his debut: " "Playing at Hampden has always been a dream of mine and to finally achieve that made the match the proudest night of my career. I had 30-odd people in the stand watching me and it cost me an absolute fortune to make sure they could all be here. There were 23 of the clan from up here and a further seven flew up from down south." I'd replace them with Dominic Matteo and Matt Elliott.
  8. I definitely feel for him, he should be at the peak of his career and yet he's fighting to save it. It's easy for me to say that he should quit but if it were me and I were facing a prospect of giving up what I'm best at... I'd be stubborn and dig in. But then again what I'm good at won't potentially hinder my life. I just hope whatever he choses he'll be OK. Bob Bryan underwent similar surgery and he's back playing and winning tournaments, but no singles player has done the same. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
  9. You've never met him? OK then, so you've never judged anyone you've never met before? Nice. I'll have a look at your posting history and ask you if you've met everything that you've ever criticized. I'm guessing that you're full of shit. How about "Scotland should be independent"? You're a Rangers fan but I'm not going to generalize the answer. Don't tell me, you don't have enough information on the issues? You don't own a time-machine so you don't know whether or not Scotland would thrive going it alone? Update: You agree with me about Kodi being absolutely useless.
  10. One of his main motivations to keep playing is because he wants his kids to see him play tennis, in the flesh. But if there's even a 1% chance that playing on will affect his later life then I'd tell him to quit right now.
  11. Really? I also said the Bible is a fairy-tale book, Darren Fletcher has the potential to be a very good coach, that Jason Cummings is a complete and utter nob and that the Old Firm are a waste of space. Do you agree with any of that?
  12. Center back? Nice! And three at the back is a brilliant touch! I'll be the captain, too. If not then I'll argue with everyone till I get the armband.
  13. I'd still put money on Nadal in the French.
  14. I have literally no idea what that means. Is it a former poster? No. I've never signed up using any other name. Why are people here so paranoid? I've also been called a Rangers fan, too. *shudder*
  15. The first sentence is wrong? Who mentioned you? Which part of "The reactionary impulse of certain people is to go into my threads and trash them. This particular thread was the wrong place to do it" Is wrong? Up to that point when I posted this thread the lad as well as the pilot were missing, so it was still unconfirmed whether they were dead or not, therefore, it would've bee inappropriate to say something as trite as "rest in peace". I did say that this thread was "essentially a RIP thread", and in essence it was. I didn't read it. I did say that I was going to ignore the insults as I have a natural compulsion to always have the last word. I didn't feel it appropriate to carry on an argument in what is essentially a RIP thread. I'll give you props for using the multi syllable words, but you lost them with "yer". I'm in the wrong? Mate, the third reply in this thread was "What a fucking stupid post.", and that was the nicest insult. But yes, I wasn't kidding. I do take the insults and the barbs as compliments. So please, keep them coming if you want. No skin off my nose.
  16. The reactionary impulse of certain people is to go into my threads and trash them. This particular thread was the wrong place to do it. Now show a little bit of respect and take the hit.
  17. Honestly, I think she's going to be unlike players like Halep, Kerber, Kvitová, etc, in that her career won't fluctuate like theirs did. I know that it's impossible to predict, but the way that she is, as well as her mentality and game, I think she's going to be as dominant as Serena. At 21 she's the only player in the history of tennis to have a winning record against Serena, and that's impressive as hell.
  18. Oh, I think she's firmly up and came. She's number one in the world. She's definitely a special player. I don't think I've ever seen a player who is so grounded and genuinely humble. She's also quirky and so ordinary, it's refreshing to so a player who is "normal" and a player who is unpretentious.
  19. "Senior figures at the club are increasingly concerned by the decision to fly their record signing across the English Channel in a single-engined plane built in 1984 and piloted by a part-time gas engineer."
