  1. Apparently he had a rampant dose of the skitters recently
  2. The good news is that those stats will change by the end of this double header
  3. That long ago? Jeez! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/League_of_Nations 😉
  4. Think we've seen the last of the thumb in a Scotland shirt to be honest. If he comes back for Celtic it'll be at the tail end of this season or maybe not till next season. After that I can imagine it'll take him a good 6 months to get up to full speed and earn his place back in the squad. Given that he's 29 in the summer and that we've been doing rather well without him (in the last few games anyway), his window of opportunity with the national team is rapidly fading away.
  5. Would be good to squeeze another game in but as others have said we've got a full calendar of competitive games this year. It's one of the best benefits of the Nations' League rearrangements. Friendlies were rarely entertaining and sometimes we avoided booking some of those date... whereas every single one of our 10 games this year will be crucial. Bring it on! âš½
  6. Greg Stewart going to be called up apparently. So: Burke McBurnie Stewart
  7. Typo, or are you Sean Connery? 😉
  8. McTominay starting Vs PSG tonight. Surely he's a dead cert to make this squad.
  9. Surprised he hasn't been with our u21s yet. Could it be a good move to force Scotland to react? Or is he just disillusioned after 2 years without any international involvement?
  10. Just saw that - surprising and impressive. Hope they don't just see him as a squad filler
  11. Middleton? Naw he isnae - only been in one squad since Mid-January and hasn't started since last year.
  12. What's happened to Middleton at Rangers? He was a regular starter for most of the first half of the season - mainly while Kent was out - and he looked really promising. But now he isn't even in matchday squads?
  13. On this season's form £8m seems reasonable to me. Armstrong went for, what, £6m?
  14. MOTD was quick to refer to him as 'Scotland Captain Andy Robertson' when he f*cked up a cross at the weekend.
  15. It really is. He had the opportunity to become Celtic's and potentially Scotland's main striker at the age of 18 and blew it out of his arse. I remember being on the verge of joyous tears when he scored that goal Vs Barca (and I'm not a Celtic fan). But I recently looked back over his stats following that game. He scored one more Celtic goal Vs St Johnstone and that was it - loads of games, no more goals then off on a low-key journeyman career around the arse end of everywhere.
  16. Going by the noises McLeish has been making it'll be Burke who is the breakthrough fwd for the upcoming squad. McBurnie and Fletcher stick-ons too
  17. Agreed. If Hornby reaches the Everton first team and starts playing and scoring even semi regularly for them in the EPL then fine, he's first pick for Scotland. As it stands he's just another promising youth - though admittedly one playing in a position we are poorly stocked in.
  18. As I understand it he is allowed to switch one more time - so if he had opted to accept an U16 call up for us for the upcoming round of games he'd be tied to Scotland. So as it stands (correct me if I'm wrong), he can still switch, but only one more time... and only if he really wants to.
  19. Can't see anything on BBC or Google about this. Link?
  20. Another goal for Hastie. Might just be a purple patch but there's also a chance we've got another good prospect on our hands. Reminds me a lot of Ryan Fraser.
  21. Yeah I know - I just noticed Aitchison scored our goal. Had checked the Alloa lineup earlier yesterday and wondered why he wasn't in their squad. But re the clip: very impressive. Good quick and adventurous passing under pressure!
