  1. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Nk1UAXlfBUA One of my favourites from the past five years or so.
  2. Love Eurovision. Think there's a notion of nostalgia to it for me, reminds me of Saturday nights during exams when we would take a night off study......sounds a bit sad when I say it like that ?. I've told the girlfriend we are going next year, so hopefully a country I want to go to wins. I have to say though it's not quite the same since Terry wogan stopped doing it, loved his constant sarcasm throughout the night. Sweden big favourites and have a big production so can't see past them. Russia close second favourites but can't see it for political reasons.
  3. There's no way Andy has a better chance for the French open than Wimbledon. For me he is the favourite for Wimbledon and has been marginally the best player on grass for the past three years.
  4. When they are babies they will cry for one of these reasons and nothing else.....wind, dirty nappy, tired, hunger. So if there's no dirty nappy and they're not due a feed, wind them and if nothing happens then get them to sleep. They don't cry for nothing! With feeding, the key is wind wind wind! Kids are the best. I have four kids and always hear comments in work like for instance after a recent holiday " you'll be glad to get back to work for a rest".......eh no! I'd much rather be spending time with the kids than working and any parent who thinks otherwise is an eejit.
  5. Thanks for the replies, some decent info there. We're planning on taking the train to one of the other towns/cities on one of the days if Brussels isn't up to much.
  6. Heading to Brussels with the girlfriend next weekend......turned out to be the worst weekend I could have picked as a result of missing the potential Morton title party and then the boxing later on!! Anyway, never been so any tips welcome. I've booked a walking tour as I always tend to do with any major city but beyond that and sampling some good chocolate and beer I have no plans.

    Rankings

As it stands I would only be concerned about drawing france from pot 2, so although pot 2 would be nice I'm not overly concerned. Romania, Czech republic, Finland, Estonia and Andorra please ? It really is difficult to qualify for a world cup these days. Stating the obvious but I think you need to avoid the big guns from pot 1 to have any chance and I would unfortunately include England in that.

Unless you are in pot 1 it hardly makes a difference. Look at the other potential pot 2 teams and pot 3 teams and on the whole there isn't much between them. You just need a bit of luck, for instance we could be in pot 3 and draw Wales or Bosnia from pot 2, yet be in pot 2 and draw Sweden or Denmark from pot 3.
  9. I wouldn't be too scared about facing them despite our previous results. Worse teams out there we could face.
  10. Cheers. Called today and luckily there were seats beside ours still available, so added single kids ticket to order.
  11. Don't know if anyone has had a similar problem before but any info would be good. I bought 2 adult tickets and 3 kids tickets the other week for the west stand. One of my daughters who couldn't go can now go so I'm looking to get another kids ticket now. Problem is though that you need at least one adult on a new booking so I would need to buy an adult ticket for her (and would rather not as I've already forked out 120) If I call on Monday and explain will they likely sell me a single kids ticket? Does anyone happen to have a spare west stand kids ticket? It will mean 6 of us will need to squeeze into 5 seats but hopefully shouldn't be a problem. Thanks in advance
  12. Fair play. I would say that's a fair assessment. As an NHS dentist I regularly see new patients who have had private work that isn't the greatest. From experience I would say there is an equal distribution of good dentists between NHS and private.
  13. As a dentist, attitudes like this annoy me. Yes, like just about every profession, there are many dentists with questionable ethics and who put money before the care they provide but the majority of dentists are decent folk. I remember going through a lawyer to get more custody of my daughter a few years ago and after 5 meetings and a court visit and some letters I was billed £5500!. I remember thinking that lawyers get an easy ride in comparison when it comes to costs. That really is printing money.
  14. What about the Croke Park tour? Looking for something to do Friday morning too.
  15. Bought 3 earlier and no problems. Row A also. Was there not a UK postage option.....assuming you're in the UK?

    Berlin

Just back. Cracking place, been a few times. Brandenburg gate, Jewish memorial and the Reichstag are all close to each other, you have to book the Reichstag, it's free and you get a good view at the top. Jewish museum, topography of terror are 2 decent museums, heard palace of tears is good but it was closed the day we went. Around checkpoint Charlie is good, street museum and bit of the Berlin wall are there. I was recommended a place called the bird for food. It's just a beer/burger place but the burgers were the best I've ever tasted! You'll have to book before you go, just use there website. Brilliant metro system, easy to get anywhere.

    Strikers

Anyone else a bit concerned about this department? It seemed not long ago we had decent options but our better forwards dont appear to be either playing or scoring, and unlike the rest of the positions in the squad there doesn't appear to be many others on the cusp of breaking through. I thought central defence would be our downfall in this campaign but now I'm not so sure.
  18. Just make sure you do stay away from EE......truly awful. Signed up when I was hungover and worst mistake I made. Speed is appaling and 1mb or under when we do a line test. Virgin and sky appear to be the cheapest when tying in with tv.
  19. For Asian food TAO is good, huge inside and busy, just off central park. Tribeca Grill is good but pricey. It's owned by Robert deniro.
