  1. Whilst these were very poor performances, Thursday was worse. Much much worse. We've been poor plenty times before but I’ve never seen such a disjointed shambolic mess as I witnessed on Thursday. In over 40 years of watching Scotland I honestly cannot remember anything as shambolic and embarrassing as that, and I include Peru and Iran 78 in that. We cannot afford another effort like that in either of the next two games but I see little to assure me we won’t see one. In short, if we don’t win this group then the easiest route to a major tournament we have had for decades will be gone and we will be faced with the very real and sobering prospect of watching England v somebody else at Hampden in 2020. McLeish clearly has no clue what he is doing (he couldn’t even keep tabs on who was on the pitch and who wasn’t ffs), should never have been appointed in the first place and should be sacked now before it is too late and while we still have a chance of topping this group and making the playoffs under somebody new. And even if he does somehow manage to scrape us across the line into the playoff we will have no chance of actually winning it against the likes of Serbia with McLeish in charge. If McLeish stays in his job beyond today then unless we get very fortunate indeed (and when do we ever) we will not be at Euro 2020 - that much is very obvious. I would genuinely love to be proved wrong. But I won’t be.
  2. I would agree with him that it was a game of two halves. The first half we were shite. Second half we were utterly fucking appalling and such a desperate level of shite it was indeed entirely different to the first.
  3. Aye I’m no saying Strachan was perfect or anything. Guardiola he isn’t. But we were a damn sight better then under him than now. It’s night and day, within a year.
  4. As was I. It’s not as if the current shambles wasn’t entirely predictable before they sacked him. Many people said as much at the time. Plenty saw this coming and I suspect was one of the main reasons for some people urging us to stick with Strachan.
  5. Sticking with Strachan would’ve been a better option than the one the SFA took Too late now though
  6. Maybe McLeish decided to boycott the game after all. Shame he never told the travelling fans beforehand.
  7. Best post on this board tonight Should have never been appointed Has to go now before it is too late That was 2-1 going on 6-1 Worst performance I can EVER recall in over 40 years
  8. We were still better than this shit though
  9. Who would even want want to inherit this mess? Christ knows. But we already had a better manager already in the job than the clown we have now. But the SFA though they knew better.
  10. Anyone’s who thinks we were better off getting rid of Strachan and getting McLeish in his place is deluded. The SFA obviously....
  11. Fuck off McLeish. Just go now you useless cunt. This is the worst I have seen us in decades. This is worse than Levein. Were making a very poor team look brilliant. Pathetic.
  12. So.... Any Aberdeen fan who wants a decent seat in the north stand instead of behind the goals needs to wait until they get the extra ticket allocation. Only they won’t get the extra tickets because people aren’t buying the shite seats. So enough people will need to buy the shite seats to ensure they can get an allocation for the decent seats. But then they’ll have already bought their ticket. For a shite seat. Perfectly logical. If you are an idiot. Now I see why the SPFL went with this idea.
  13. So how was the decision to have Celtic v Hearts at Murrayfield arrived at? Given if you had asked Celtic and Hearts for a preference Celtic would’ve preferred Hampden and Hearts Murrayfield, there should’ve been a random ballot to decide the venues.
  14. Bloody hell. I’d have thought Jack was a bit long in the tooth now to be making comebacks. Fair play.
  15. Djimi Traore has a champions League winners medal. Might as well close the thread now, without even needing to reference the FA Cup and League Cup wins.
  16. Am I missing something here, or couldn’t the whole farcical situation have been completely avoided by the SPFL anticipating both Rangers and Celtic possibly qualifying for the both the Europa league group stages and League Cup semis, paying attention to the fixture scheduling of the Europa League and simply pencilling in the semi finals for a different weekend? I mean both of them being in both the EL and the League Cup semis is hardly the stuff of fantasy is it? It’s a complete shambles. But I’m not shocked in the slightest.
  17. Yes you’re right. I assumed it was after yesterday’s game v Wolves. My mistake. Guy still behaved like a bawbag though.
  18. They had absolutely every right to ask him to leave. As does any rail company employee at any railway station if they consider you are being a nuisance or otherwise misbehaving. And he was absolutely not being polite, unless you consider swearing at railway staff to be acceptable behaviour. This guy is obviously one of those people who think they can do what they like then look for the sympathy of everyone when he’s told he can’t.
  19. They failed to back him on McGinn, preferring to try and land him on the cheap. Im not sure who we've spent a “gazillion” on, but if you think Celtic haven’t gone backwards then you’re in a very small minority. The Celtic board backed Rodgers last summer and the summe before. This year that has not happened and we’re seeing the results of that now.
  20. Yes really. I’ve seen people lifted for BOP for less. And I made nothing up - he was goading. “Good result today?” when it clearly wasn’t. He was neither polite nor 100% in the right as your original post said. He was being an obnoxious prick and making a nuisance of himself. He was asked to leave and refused, instead arguing the tossy and behaving like an attention seeking child. Its pretty obvious he wanted to cause a scene and then post it on social media. As I said previously, an utter fanny.
  21. Very disappointing from Celtic but let’s give some credit to Kilmarnock. They played well and Clarke got it spot on. If the board can’t see now they've badly fucked up by not replacing those who left as an absolute minimum then they never will. Standing still this year would’ve been ill-advised in the grand scheme of things and looking towards the next 3/4 years but even that would’ve been preferable to the clear backwards direction they’ve taken us this summer. I think the best we can hope for is to somehow hang in there until January and then strengthen as best we can. But January is a notoriously difficult window to strengthen well in. I can see Rodgers deciding he’s had enough. If the board won’t back him and show faith in him (and I think he’s earned that at Celtic) why would he want to hang about?
