Trident? Plenty of Unionists want rid of it too. I don't think Shoreham had any affect. Was actually surprised to see the Red Arrows fly over the town as much. I agree thinking back to the old Prestwick airshows in the 70s and 80s they seemed a bit more noisy and exciting but then there was a steady stream of American Cold War jets (I guess it was political then too) plus amazing aircraft like the Harrier and Concorde that don't fly anymore. The Eurofighter Typhoon was great, incredible to watch. Problem was it was first up so the aircraft after it were a bit tame. Quite emotional watching the Vulcan fly for the last time. Have to say the Red Arrows were excellent though. Hadn't seen them for years and they seem to have a lot more inventive manoeuvres now...

If that happens we should pip Poland for 3rd if we can beat them at Hampden...

I think you can ignore the Welsh league. It's the fact they have mega rich English league clubs spending millions on youth development that is making the difference. I expect them to have a better team than us for quite a while...

I don't think we can make that argument after losing in Georgia. NI and Wales have gone away to places like Hungary, Greece, Israel and Cyprus and won...

We shouldn't have needed world class players yesterday though. Too many in that team were out of form or out of match practice.

What concerns me is the lack of quality coming through from the next generation. The poor standard of the Scottish league is starting to filter through to the national squad. Can't see us having a much better team in the next 5 to 10 years...
