  1. Very few bars nearby apart from the hotels. It says 10-15 minute walk from the strip or the Old Town.
  2. Well keep the noise down while we are snobbing it up next door.
  3. Belgium biggest away support I've ever seen at Hampden..
  4. Switzerland, 2-0 down with 10 minutes to go won 3-2 to net me £64
  5. Ive got one available for sale. East stand. £38 covers all postage etc.
  6. Feckkin Hertz screwed mine and apparently many other coupons.
  7. Any spare seats on your boat. The busses seem to be full.
  8. Well, you've been done. You could have had a room here for £24 a night. http://www.mgehotels.com/Hotel-Paraiso-de-Albufeira/apartamento-paraiso-albufeira
  9. From Glasgow, Glasgow - East Midlands £29 East Midlands - Faro £69 Return :- Yer on yer own Edited to say above times Friday 9th
  10. Two of us on this flight and a few more that I have seen mention it. I'm going to book a taxi to pick us up on arrival but if there is enough interest, I can book a 6 or 8 seater. Cost would be no more than £5 a head. This would be one way only as everyone is leaving on different days. If interested, drop me a PM and I'll look into it.
  11. Looking through hotel websites, there's loads of hotels showing fully booked. It's going to be a bumper end of season for the boozers.
  12. Two of us booked into the Brisa Sol hotel. It's fully booked now so I expect a few other TA to be there
  13. Spent a few days there last year. It is a beautiful city with plenty to see and do. The freedom trail is a walkway through the old part of the city which guides you through all the major sights. Most of the sights have guides in period costume explaining the history of the area. The state house is worth a view, it's like the highest court in the state of Massachusets. Beacon hill area is great for walking around, very "olde worlde", it still has gas lamps on the streets. Then, of course, theres Cheers bar. Well, two of them actually. The original one is a wee pokey hole and quite grubby inside so they made a bigger one in the city centre. Lots of excellent beers to try Well worth a visit.
  14. Just back from Vienna on Sunday after a few days in Budapest. Vienna city centre is beautiful but out with the centre is really shabby. Loads of bars and restaurants to chose from covering all tastes and price ranges. Budapest is a much nicer and vibrant city and much cheaper.
  15. A guy at work and his mates are on the SFA ticketing database and get offered home game tickets before they go on general sale. They are not members of the SSC so do not have to pay the £50 subscription. They do not get the chance for away tickets, nor do they get a key ring, beanie hat or any of the other tat that comes with membership. They also got the opportunity to buy the three match package when it came out and were given the option to buy the extra tickets for the Germany and Poland games. If you are not going to away games, Joining the SSC is a complete waste of money. You gan guarantee tickets by other means. If you do travel to away games, it's just a necessary rip off.
  16. First line of the season up yesterday. £2 x 6 team accumulator, paid £42. My close season activities paid dividends. £2.50 each way on Z. Johnson to win the open paid £317.50 Winnings stashed away to be changed into Portuguese beer tokens.
  17. Hope you told them to stock up for the October invasion.
  18. You can always apply for tickets then sell them on. That's an easy way of keeping on the points ladder.
