    Ben Doak

S.Clarke has to select him for the Full Squad and get him away from Gemmill, he’ll learn f**k all in the U21’s with that clown in charge!
  2. Zinchenko a very good player Is he better than Tierney, imo No
  3. My understanding is Arteta favours Zinchenko over Tierney, they say Zinchenko offers more going forward But it all came about with Tierney’s injury and Arsenal went out and bought imo Zinchenko as cover but now seems Zinchenko favoured instead….. Hoping Scott McTominay runs over Zinchenko today and allows Tierney another run in the Team
  4. Also agree, S.Clarke gave McBurnie more than his fair chance to shine for the Dark Blue 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I’d say Scotlands options up front are from C.Adams L.Dykes J.Brown R.Stewart K.Nisbet L.Shankland And I can’t see Clarke picking all 6 from above, meaning McBurnie is not even remotely close - not even worthy of a mention……..
  5. Also watched the last game and thought the same thing! Why has he left Lowry on the bench, okay he didn’t start but at least give the lad some minutes and his style of play may have got Scotland out of their own box in the second half !! On paper it looked an okay result but it wasn’t until you saw that game, especially that 2nd half it was horrific…….

    U21s

I tried to find out where Anderson + Fiorini were ? is this confirmed they are injured ??
  7. Agree with McGregor or McTominay 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍 As for Dykes, recall the Penalty against Austria - although he scored, it was a stinker! Correct me if I’m wrong, think he also missed a Penalty against Israel But it kinda depends who’s confident / comfortable at that moment in time
  8. Will defo be 100% pick-up imo Similar to Austria away, with it being such short notice!!
  9. I’d have Rhodes and Fraser both in the next Squad, with it (you hope) being a 28-30 man squad
  10. Cometh the Hour Jordan Rhodes scores a big big goal for Huddersfield and the fans chanting his name of old 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Seen another dimension to his game tonight by defending set pieces
  11. Is there a chance, something I read earlier about Tierney Kieran Tierney’s injury has been a huge blow for Arsenal and the first choice left-back looks as though his season is all but over following the news that he will require knee surgery after feeling some discomfort following a training session. The Scotland international has been ruled out of Arsenal’s last six fixtures and it was clear that they missed him after the first three of those ended in defeat. Tierney will now focus on regaining fitness ahead of Scotland’s World Cup play-offs in June. Speaking on April 5, Arteta said: “Kieran felt discomfort after a training session on Thurs. A specialist consultation took place, and as a result of further discussions, it has been decided that he requires [knee] surgery.”
  12. Maybe the word reluctantly isn’t correct, would say he’s a certainty to be included though with the amount of injuries in that department. Will also be a larger squad Che Adams, Ryan Christie, Lyndon Dykes, Jacob Brown, Ross Stewart No Ryan Fraser, James Forrest or Kevin Nesbitt though as all injured Reluctantly I’d maybe use for Oli McBurnie but he’s injured I believe
  13. McTominay isn’t a Centre Half and although he has played there, it was due to lack of cover! I’d play McKenna before McTomminay as a Centre Half, as good as McTominay is - he is lacking on aerial presence within the box on crosses and set pieces
  14. There isn’t a chance in hell he’ll play domestic football back in Scotland, be it on loan or via a transfer!! If Chelsea’s season fizzles out which is the way it’s going then Thomas Tuchel will take Gilmour back to Chelsea for pre season and give him the opportunity to impress up until the transfer window and then decisions will be made imo As mentioned earlier, possibly Fulham or Bournemouth for another stint out on loan if Chelsea decide to farm him out again?!? Fulham would be a good fit with it being a London Club, here’s hoping Gilmour arrives / turns up in June and gives us some big performances 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  15. How things stand for Scotlands 1st XI ( what would be 1st XI ) Craig Gordon - ever present for Hearts this season and on the form of his life and another clean sheet today Andy Robertson - Man of the Match again today and potential Champions League Final 3 days before Ukraine game Nathan Patterson - Injured and unlikely to make Play-Off Semi Final Kieran Tierney - Injured and less than 50% to make Play-Off Semi Final Grant Hanley - ever present for Norwich and playing well albeit relegated today but give us that aerial presence we require against balls into the box! Scott McKenna - back from injury, solid and flying high with Notts Forest with him potentially being Forests player of the season Calum McGregor - having a fantastic season and almost the unsung hero for Scotland as does everything effortlessly, on form and good to go….. Billy Gilmour - has been in & out for Norwich this season but gives everything for Scotland and almost certain to start John McGinn - just about the 1st name on the team sheet, not scoring for Villa but is being deployed in a different role for them. Here’s hoping he weighs in with some goals in June! Che Adams - playing regular for Southampton and although not prolific has all the qualities to kick on, confidence and placement for that goal against Denmark was amazing. A certainty to start….. Lyndon Dykes - having a quiet spell with QPR but hasn’t let the Dark Blue down of late, I’m hoping we go 2up front and Dykes & Adams can/will be potent if confidence is high….. I know many might say this isn’t Scotlands 1st XI with many other players available with S.McTominay S.Armstrong R.Jack L.Cooper A.Hickey J.Hendry all potential starters but it just shows the strength we have especially in Midfield
  16. Lyndon Dykes on the bench last night and limited to last half hour against Sheffield Utd. Are we to be worried about his lack of form/goals with only a month to go??
  17. I’ve been checking now and again for Tierney and Patterson and recovery process! Haven’t seen anything, no news is good news I hope 🤞
  18. More worrying, Wales striker Kieffer Moore has returned from injury and scored 2 goals for Bournemouth……. That’s them got a player back that wasn’t available back in March when all the PlayOffs should have been finished
  19. This is the benchmark, Declan Rice having played for ROI in full Internationals then changing his mind !! Totally wrong and Scotland should utilise every potential player available
  20. For me, if Nathan Patterson doesn’t make the Ukraine PlayOff game I’d go with Hickey as a replacement SOD not getting regular football with Motherwell but Steve Clarke knows he will do a job for him ?!? Tough call but if Hickey is getting regular football in Serie A then you’d think Clarke will go with Hickey and give Scotland that attacking threat when required…..
  21. Watched the goal Jacob Brown scored earlier and thought exactly the same thing! Very, very composed and took the goal well albeit a few yards out but had traffic around him but aye I like what I’m seeing 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  22. Fingers crossed he’s fit and available for the games in June 🤞
  23. Without trawling previous pages, no Ryan Fraser again for Newcastle today? Is he injured or out of favour??
  24. Jordan Rhodes now 32, he was prolific at his first spell at Huddersfield but now seems to be a journeyman!! Which is a crying shame as he had great potential in his younger days, has had some big signings throughout his career but has kinda fizzled out….. He is really a penalty box striker IMO and certainly used to have an eye for goal, 2 goals in 2 games but if he continues scoring and takes Huddersfield to the PlayOff Final then who knows?? Scotland are lacking depth up front, Che Adams and Lyndon Dykes are the first to be called upon but after that? Ryan Christie ( not a striker / forward really ) Jacob Brown ( quick and scoring goals, potentially ahead of Dykes ) Will certainly need to be a big squad for June, so another forward or two wouldn’t go a miss
