  1. That is what the guy who tweeted the info is suggesting.
  2. I agree. I think Ukraine need to be given whatever support they can by football’s governing boards. Ukraine’s request for a postponement is probably nothing more than vain hope that Russia have been forced to withdraw by then , you cant extinguish that hope just for a bit of inconvenience and expense of other country’s football fans. It may only be a game of football and I understand people saying Ukraine have bigger things to worry about, but agreeing to a postponement is a big statement not only in support of the country but in sharing in their hope and belief that things may have changed. Even if the belief is , ultimately, in vain.
  3. Dont shoot the messenger , I dont particularly want it either , but from the sounds of things it seems quite possible .
  4. What would happen regarding tickets? Would the existing tickets for the Ukraine game be honoured for a later date and have a seperate ticket sale for a friendly with Poland ?
  5. 😂 7 daughters, one for every day of the week !
  6. Wtf. I nearly dropped 2 stitches on my pavlovo shawl reading that. Of course its me. I bought a chess set during lockdown and know every word to Babooshka, you dont get more Russian than that.
  7. Wtf ! I thought I would just give it a go using a password I use regularly but it populated my username automatically and let me in without a password using Face ID ! How the hell does that work ? This is like James Bond 😁
  8. Wonder where Bluegaz is these days . Its quite nostalgic looking back at it . I lost my sign on ages ago as I was always signed in and when I got kicked out once I didnt know how to get back on. Someone was saying on the Ukraine thread that they thought that SPecialised Out Sourcing person was here to kill off the board but its got busier since they appeared, would have been easier to let it die on its own if the owners wanted rid.
  9. Bobster ! 😍 Long time no speak. How are you ? How are your 7 daughters? 😁
  10. 😂 I have no idea what Jimmy’s surname is. Do you know ANYTHING about ‘ spyery’ ? You dont tell anyone your surname 🙄 Think he lives in America if that narrows it down a bit.
  11. Aye, the arts and crafts section is badly needing a canadian piper . I have lost my sign on. Might email Jimmy if I think you are joining Ramy 😉
  12. Hmm, why do I get the feeling this is not an entirely genuine question despite frantically googling ‘Jimmy Gunn Russian spy’ to no avail 🙄
  13. Of course, we all take sides, even if we arent aware of it, some are more obvious than others. Unfortunately we seem to have gone from being spoon fed information pre internet, to a bombardment of it post internet. I find it overwhelming and impossible to decide what is truth at times. It leaves me in a position of questioning everything which is just as bad as knowing nothing. I doubt I am alone. I dont necessarily think a deluge of information from someone condemning someone or indeed supporting someone is suspicious, they may just feel passionate about the subject/s. But I am not naive enough to think there is nothing else driving it either. I haven’t a fooking clue who 99.9 % of folk on here are. I would tell my children not to trust a randomer on the internet. Think its fairly safe to say I am no being groomed right enough.
  14. I totally understand why, I was a baw hair away from chucking it myself for the same reason. However the confusion over the episodes threw me a bit and moved my focus off of her 😁 I think I might get past that as I am enjoying other things about it, though some other programmes I have watched have been spoilt for me because of one character .
  15. 🤣 Dont be ridiculous, do you think a good nationalist like me would marry a guy called George?
  16. 🤣🤣 I hate to spoil the intrigue but The Scottish Forum was set up a few years ago when there was the distinct threat that the TAMB was closing down. A guy called Jimmy ( yes, Jimmy ….) kindly offered to set up a new board , there was an open invitation on here to everyone at the time. Only a few folk signed up though. It kept going for a while, was a good laugh, but I struggled to have time to read both boards. As you can see there has been nothing on it for a while. That was a bit of a random post by thplinth, think he must have drunk too much BigFoot stout 😁
  17. Unless you know the person well enough to state as fact that they have no agenda I would not trust anyone on a social media board in respect to their political motivations. There are however some who are more suspicious than others.
  18. No thread can be excluded when the nations security is at stake 👀
  19. Did you stick with this ? We started it last week and watched 2 episodes. The next night went to watch episode 3 but did not recognise anything in the recap. We went back to look at episode 1 and it was not what we had watched the night before , we eventually realised we had been watching Series 3 episode 1 the previous night 🙄It seemed really easy to follow despite us having missed 2 entire series . This is the 3 rd time we have started watching a series halfway through and not even realised. I am quite enjoying it. It tries to be a bit too clever at times but the production is really good and its pretty upbeat .
  20. Finally got round to watching this , small bonus of having a shit memory is that I completely forgot what you had said so didn’t spoil anything for me. I really enjoyed it , thought it was a clever concept but unfortunately a bit to close to the truth on the human race. Reminded me a bit of Lord of The Flies though admittedly it has been over 40 years since I read it. They will no doubt spoil it with another series.
  21. UK RAISES ALERT LEVEL The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent Russian threats and have therefore raised their security level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.” The English have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. The Russians have been re-categorized from “Tiresome” to “A Bloody Nuisance.” The last time the British issued a “Bloody Nuisance” warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada. The Scots have raised their threat level from “Pissed Off” to “Let’s Get the Bastards.” They don’t have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years. The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from “Run” to “Hide.” The only two higher levels in France are “Collaborate” and “Surrender.” The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France’s white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country’s military capability. Italy has increased the alert level from “Shout Loudly and Excitedly” to “Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two more levels remain: “Ineffective Combat Operations” and “Change Sides.” The Germans have increased their alert state from “Disdainful Arrogance” to “Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs.” They also have two higher levels: “Invade a Neighbour” and “Lose.” Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels. The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy. Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from “No worries” to “She’ll be alright, Mate.” Two more escalation levels remain: “Crikey! I think we’ll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!” and “The barbie is cancelled.” So far, no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level. 22. Hooray ! I will still keep mine on when I am on the train or food shopping if other folk have them on, only because I dont know their health situation and because its not exactly a hassle. Will be glad to see the end of them socially though.
  23. 😂😂Exactly ! Where there is a will there is a way. Depends on the airline though. Ryanair dont give a fook they just want aa much money as they can get . I sat with a glass of wine ( well maybe 2 …) in front of me all the way to Valencia and no one asked me to put my mask up. Jet 2 on the other hand were much stricter implementing the mask rule, you had to have your mask on and only take it down when you took a drink. The discomfort of being squashed in at the window for 4 1/2 hrs all the way to Greece was worse than any mask regulation though. Never again. I am too old to take a chance on random seat allocation for the sake of saving 15 quid.
  24. Had a quick look. Are ‘Gola ‘ popular trainers now? I am sure you used to get them in Woolies.
