  1. Yes this is the thing, they may not agree with what the Tories are doing but they don’t much like the other option either, this has been going on for years and the only reason the Tories are in power. These flip flop constituencies will be so important at the next election, the Tories may have just pushed people to the boundaries. The critical audience were a range of ages as well. Someone on here posted something about how the papers report things in Scotland and in England, I would never have known Sunak was under such criticism otherwise. You should try and watch it on catch up particularly when it is your local area.
  2. 😂😂 I can only go by what I hear , Labour have been such an irrelevance in England for so long I am not that familiar with their politicians. I thought she was fine last night on the questions being asked but she can get tae fook sticking her nose into Scottish independence.
  3. It was unbelievable. Even the Tories in the audience made very little effort to defend them . Sunak doesn’t seem to be the golden boy people thought he was. As you say though, its a while to the election.
  4. He was very good. I also thought Lisa Nandy was good , she was well prepared and got her points over but gets a bit too emotional .
  5. Not a chance. I canny get a signal on a train from Newcastle at the moment there is not a hope in hell of that phone working up a mountain. I think you are thinking,’ if I left now I might catch last orders at The Bull Inn’. We could maybe start a caption competition.
  6. First time I have seen this in about 8 years. Tories are getting battered. Damian Hinds is having a shocker. Woman from the Spectator is very irritating.
  7. 😂 aye well it is a bit ‘fur coat nae knickers’ around here .
  8. Mr Fox sunbathing in my garden. I was battering on the kitchen window and he didn’t even flinch.
  9. You are looking rather wistful Jim, what were you thinking of ? Och go on , dont be shy! 😁
  10. Times seem to think it is happening. Rumblings going on all morning. https://www.reuters.com/business/uk-registered-po-ferries-suspends-services-says-it-is-not-going-bust-2022-03-17/
  11. Maybe. Or it could just be that Scotland werent due to play Iraq, Syria or Libya at that time 🙂
  12. Yours, Ebenezer Scrooge Charitable Foundation
  13. Finished The Queens Gambit. Really enjoyed it despite knowing heehaw about chess other than the names of the pieces. On a completely different subject, I caught the C4 documentary about the Jeremy Kyle Show on Sunday night so watched the second part last night. Wtf. I have never seen a complete episode of the show, only caught snippets , I thought it was a load of rubbish and that it was mainly play acting by the contestants for notoriety. I am sure there was a degree of that but If this documentary is to be believed it was shockingly taking advantage of vulnerable people. I imagine the producers and Jeremy Kyle will come up with their own side to the story but it looks grim as hell. It was very sad to watch , there will be a lot of guilty consciences out there.
  14. I just think that Wales or Austria have more chance of being rested as I dont think they will field their first team , or will make loads of substitutions, in the nations league game. But you may be right. if we do win the semi perhaps adrenaline will keep the momentum going. Even if we have to witness a meltdown in Dublin a few days later ……🙄😊 The decision, whatever it is, is never going to please everyone.
  15. It makes sense from a disruption perspective but I think it also gives Wales or Austria an advantage , as well as their home advantage.
  16. I know, we had planned on driving to Wales regardless. I am no driving to Vienna the Russians might mistake me for Maria Von Trapp belting out Doh a Deer in my escape vehicle. I dont have a problem at all with the uncertainty of where we are playing, I am more bothered that we may be disadvantaged by potentially playing 2 major back to back games whereas Wales/Austria may field a weakened side for their nations league game to avoid injury .
  17. Yeah that is the only way it could be an advantage, but an advantage nonetheless. Wouldn’t mind Vienna myself as a city break. Whilst , on the other hand, ………. Canny wait for that either ……
  18. Aye but I could do that with hotels in 2 places, I have just cancelled 2 of them today 🙄 Its the travel that is more important , yes it would be good to know where you are going but unless you plan on going to that place regardless, you need to wait till the game is over to book it or risk losing money if we lose.
  19. Still cant really book anything till you know if we win though so not a huge advantage . I am not too chuffed about it though I can understand the desire to disrupt as few games as possible .
  20. I read in the last hour it is staying in place. https://nation.cymru/sport/potential-world-cup-play-off-final-for-wales-postponed-until-june-as-scotland-ukraine-match-moved/
