  1. I initially interpreted ‘the same pub’ as being the same pub as me, and I was thinking, not only did Fairbairn live 3 miles from my current house, he was in Jersey for 10 years . How the hell do I not know him ! 😁 Yes, yes I know you are much younger than me …… Go on, its a Friday night, get out there ! Do it for Meatloaf 🎤🎸🍻 I am in the West End tonight, no chance of any Meatloaf being played there ☹️
  2. If you buy a 3xxlll i will run up 2 Mediums on my sewing machine from it.
  3. This suggests he may have died from Covid. https://metro.co.uk/2022/01/21/meat-loaf-died-after-catching-covid-19-as-tributes-pour-in-15959952/
  4. Brilliant memories of Sunday afternoon in The Watersplash in Jersey when i lived there in the mid 80’s. It was a kinda surfers pub right on the beach, the place was always heaving and when Paradise By the Dashboard Light came on it went totally mental. Everyone on the tables belting it out. Always think of that place when I hear it. He had some great tunes. RIP.
  5. 😂 I wouldn’t even know how to pronounce that.
  6. Good to hear. If Johnson by some miracle survives this fiasco it really will be make your mind up time for the Scottish Tories . This could be as close to a breakaway as there has been for some time.
  7. I haven’t watched Question Time for years and the minute I saw it was from St Andrews I knew I was not going to change my mind this week. I quite like St Andrews, but a general representation of Scotland it is not.
  8. Think you quoted my ‘review’ 🙄 of The Tourist instead of Afterlife. Easily done I only managed 2 episodes of that as well, I am not very easily pleased these days. Its a pity, they really managed to balance pathos with humour well in the first 2 series, but it just isn’t working for me in this one.
  9. I really need to stop sweating the small stuff when you see what some folk go through. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2022/01/19/womans-tongue-replaced-with-thigh-to-fight-cancer/amp/
  10. Yes it is accurate. Hope it didn’t suggest he was preaching to his flock of SNP sheep 🙄
  11. My issue with Blackford is he tends to act a bit theatrical at times and overegg a speech, you can guarantee that if today was one of those times the BBC would have been all over it to make him look pompous. He was good today so I am not surprised he was cut short. People tend to believe whatever suits their agenda but I really hope that anyone on the fence will see that apart from showing nothing but disdain for Blackford , Johnson’s replies were utter horse shit and not even relevant to the questions. Stephen Kinnock asked him if he agreed Douglas Ross was a lightweight and he refused to answer, going off on a ramble about the union.
  12. When it cuts to the bit with him making childish faces it beggars belief. To think this person is running the UK is frightening.
  13. I am not Ian Blackford’s biggest fan but thought he was quite good today. Operation Dogs Dinner 😂
  14. He was fairly crude but at least he was quite funny with it in his disinterested, couldnt give a fook character. There was nothing remotely funny about Brian meeting his ex wife and her new boyfriend in the street and them rattling on about her shagging the whole street and that she was a slag. Or Pat the postie going on about his girlfriend having sex with everyone . And I canny stand that guy that is head of drama, he is no funny at all. Maybe its just me though! 😁 Quite liked the psychic woman. To prove I do have a sense of humour though I am still loving Curb Your Enthusiasm !
  15. Loved the first 2 series of this but have watched the first 2 episodes of this series and not been very impressed. Dont think I will bother finishing it . I am not particularly prudish but feel it is resorting to shit crude humour too often.
  16. Thumbs up reaction. There should be a by election in situations like this. The vast majority of people vote for the party rather than the person.
  17. Obviously fuel is having a major impact but shipping costs in general are playing a large part in this. They have gone from $1500 to $ 15-20k per container in a very short period of time. Mainly caused by an increase in demand for goods as covid diminishes. You would hope these costs will reduce over time, its fookin outrageous and affects absolutely everything we buy. House prices are going through the roof at the moment and 3 interest rate rises are expected this year. There will be a lot of pain if things don’t settle down.
  18. I meant it more as a blow to BJ ‘s leadership than the MP moving to Labour specifically..
  19. Tory MP defects to Labour. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jan/19/tory-mp-christian-wakeford-has-defected-to-labour-says-starmer
  20. Wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the arrogant tosser did this. https://www.google.com/amp/s/inews.co.uk/opinion/boris-johnson-call-confidence-vote-commons-himself-could-backfire-1405800/amp
  21. I didn’t interpret it as a change of policy. I thought the football, amongst other restrictions, were always going to be a short term situation to take pressure of the NHS during the festive period with so many people, including NHS staff, testing positive for Covid. I dont really see it as backtracking when it was meant to be temporary. Whether it was effective or not is another question.
  22. Puppygate 🙄 , it just keeps coming. https://www.google.com/amp/s/metro.co.uk/2022/01/15/downing-street-staff-made-puppy-gate-for-boris-johnson-while-he-isolated-15923808/amp/
  23. Mail and Express readers are his last men standing. He is fooked.
