  1. What doesn't shine well, the fact she's a buy to let landlord or that there maybe some - as yet unspecified - dodginess around the deals?
  2. I'm struggling to understand myself what the scam is here - assuming there is one although the practice does appear on the surface to be dodgy. I see that the allegations against the solicitor is that he facilitated mortgage fraud regardless of whether there was any actual fraud. I could understand why you might conspire with a vendor to get a mortgage in excess of the sale price but the suggestion seems to be that there wasn't any fraud. I'm definitely reserving judgement on this until the facts are apparent.
  3. It's years since I rented but while there is undoubtedly a link between how much property sells for and the rental price, I'd say that it's more at a market level than an individual property. For example, if you've a block of six flats, three are rented, three are owner occupied, the rental cost of each flat is likely to be the same and not dependent on what was paid for the property.
  4. Not that this is in the least bit relevant to Michelle Thomson but I seriously doubt that an ex-council house in Dreghorn is worth anything close to £150k. A quick look at Rightmove shows that similar properties are listed in the 60-70k range. North Ayrshire also has a provost not a lord Provost. Facts aren't your strongpoint are they.
  5. I read recently that he initially played GAA football in Birmingham so I was surprised that he chose England. Let's hope he turns out to be the next Lee Hendrie.
  6. Not true. http://order-order.com/2015/08/21/truth-about-mps-online-adultery-account/#:vgkO_KyEf68EyA
  7. Using Kevin Hague - one of the most batshit bonkers nawbags going - as a source, dearie me.
  8. Or alternatively, yet another in a long line of players who failed to live up to his earlier promise.
  9. Nicholas completely underachieved after he left Celtic for Arsenal. Eric Black was Crocker by the time he left for Metz, Weir was a good club player but no better than that to be fair. McAvennie was a fairly late developer then arsed it up himself.
  10. If Margo was still with us and healthy you probably wouldn't have heard much from Sillars at all. Being pretty brutal about it, in the last twenty years or so, Sillars was better known as Mr. Margo. She would have made a great figurehead of the Yes campaign. She was someone who had almost universal respect across the country and there wouldn't have been the same marmite effect that there was with Salmond.
  11. No, it's a load of bollocks - apart from the racist bit. That's probably true, or at least it's true that he called Anton Ferdinand what he called him.
  12. The club captain (Terry) and the captain on the night (Lampard) lifted the trophy together, so your recollection is incorrect. If you're referring to Terry allegedly having it off with Wayne Bridge's ex, then I take it you're unaware that's actually a load of bollocks. No doubt you were fuming at Eric Abidal lifting the trophy for Barcelona the previous year as well.
  13. I didn't have a problem with it then and I don't have a problem with it now. Ivanovic and Raul Merailes also missed the final through suspension and were on the pitch wearing strips as were around half a dozen other players that didn't make the final team. Funnily enough none of them get criticism but somehow Terry does it and it's a hanging offence. Personally, I think if you are going to present medals to players other than those actually in the match day squad, it's better that they are all wearing the kit. As I said earlier, there's plenty of reasons for people to dislike Terry without making them up.
  14. I'd have thought a police officer would be familiar with racially aggravated offences. If you called Sandy Toksvig a Danish lesbian dwarf in the street then you'd expect to be charged with a homophobic and racially aggravated breach of the peace.
  15. Racism and homophobia in one sentence, I don't think Mhairi would be happy.
  16. If that had been in 2012 then Scholes and Keane wouldn't have been allowed on the pitch unless they were stripped. You do get that this was a UEFA directive, don't you?
  17. Why would they? He's a player. The winners get 40 medals which mean that the entire first team squad gets presented with a medal regardless of whether or not they were in the match day squad for the final. UEFA stipulate that all players needs to be stripped for the presentation. I get that you don't like John Terry, that's fair enough. There's plenty of reasons not to like him without inventing ones.
  18. One of my favourite pictures from last year - or was this from the GE? Anyway, it's a great picture that's gives you great hope for the future.
  19. He might even get to be the proper growed-up Secretary of State for Scotland.
  20. Scores? I'd be amazed if there's more than half a dozen people turning up
