  1. Kind of irrelevant in the overall outcome. Carlaw was top of the list, he's just swapping his list seat for a constituency.
  2. Not only the voters, they won't gave the activists on the ground to get the vote out.
  3. In the section "Overall Experience" there are six questions. In all six questions the score is higher in 2015 than it was in 2013. In fact in all but a handful of questions, the numbers from 2015 are either higher or the same as the numbers from 2013.
  4. That's where I got those figures from, appendix F. There's no year on year average comparison across a range of years or at least f there is I can't see it. There is an average satisfaction score for comparison to 2014 only but that's only gone from 67% to 66%. In an ideal world you'd want an increase but it hardly represents the picture of terminal decline that you are painting.
  5. Absolutely., the overall satisfaction score is 67%. I've had some experience of employee satisfaction surveys in companies I've worked for and they'd be delighted with that score.
  6. I've had a look at that report, quite interesting stuff but it doesn't give me the impression that job satisfaction is at an all time low rather that in general things are broadly the same year on year which given the stresses the NHS is under is probably testament to those who work in it. There are loads of questions there and some measures are up and some down but I think there's two questions that are particularly relevant when gauging overall satisfaction. 1. I would recommend my workplace as a good place to work (for those who know about Net Promoter Primer, that's the key question). 2. I still intend to be working with my health board in 12 months' time (obviously a crucial measure of how happy or otherwise people are) These are the figures - that doesn't look to me like the scenario you are describing. 2006 2008 2010 2013 2014 2015 I would recommend my workplace as a good place to work 43 55 58 50 61 59 I still intend to be working with my health board in 12 months' time 70 77 79 75 79 77
  7. If - if - the SNP doesn't have an overall majority, I don't see them having any sort of formal arrangement with the Greens. They've successfully run a minority government before and I'd think they'd do that again. The other side of the coin though, is if they do do some sort of deal with the Greens for a formal arrangement - what would the Greens ditch in order to get a seat at the table? I'd be inclined to think they'd get agreement on environmental and land reforms and they'll kick the economic stuff into the long grass.
  8. It's a tricky one but on balance I'd say there are a lot more soft no's that given the right economic conditions - for them - would shift than soft yes's that would vote no because the Yes offer wasn't radical enough. For that to happen the UK would have to represent a more progressive option than an independent Scotland and I don't see that happening any time in the foreseeable future.
  9. I think you are wrong on that. The people who need to be convinced in the next referendum are the soft no's, those people who don't have a fundamental aversion to independence but thought that the timing was wrong or it was too risky or were unconvinced by some of the arguments. They don't want "progressive" or "radical", you are talking about people who are essentially risk-averse. They want less risk, more assurance and better arguments.
  10. Just add Nicola Sturgeon to the ballot paper anyway, that's what I'm planning to do for Thames Valley PCC.
  11. Exactly and add to that that our better players and where we have most options are in midfield. I can't understand why people who advocate 4-4-2 with the players Strachan has available don't see that. We're weak up front and in central defence. I know, let's play a system that exposes our centre halves and replaces a good attacking midfielder with a poor striker.
  12. Cuba's sold out to the Yankee dollar now, I'm guessing he's in Pyongyang.
  13. It'll still screw up the fixtures for those groups, not they'll care about that.
  14. Find it far too busy on match days, much prefer Alfredo's across the road.
  15. I refer you to my later post about how Fletcher can - and does - play within our system and Rhodes and Griffiths don't look like they can.
  16. I see mad as a box of frogs Renfrewshire councillor Terry Kelly has now been suspended by the Labour Party pending an investigation into alleged anti-Semitic comments.
  17. I'm not going to disagree with you on that point. I have to say I've never been that keen on McCormack but was impressed with him in Prague, I'd like to see him given another run out in the upcoming friendlies. Given the opposition, I don expect him to get too many chances to score but it will be good to see how he handles that. While Fletcher may not be the most prolific striker, he does fit into our system, in which its primarily the role of a lone striker to act as a focal point and a link for the attacking three midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 formation. I thought he did particularly well in the home game against Poland. The problem with Rhodes and Griffiths is while they both score a lot of goals at SPFL and English Championship, neither has - to date - shown that they can do that at a higher level, which is what you need for International football. That becomes a problem when it looks like they can't really fit into the system either. I'm not saying they can't but neither has looked like they can so far, Griffiths looked like a little boy lost playing up front against Denmark. Kris Boyd was a much more prolific striker at club level than either Rhodes or Griffiths and he wasn't much cop at International level either.
  18. Why? 13 caps, 3 goals, two of which were in a friendly against Luxembourg. It's hardly a stellar record. Fair enough he's only started 3 matches but in 6 of his substitute appearances he got the last half hour or so which as a striker should be ample opportunity to make an impact, which he hasn't done. Maybe he's just a flat track bully? I guess if Boro go up we'll find out next season.
  19. With the exception of McCormack against the Czech Republic, all three of them have been gash when playing for Scotland.
  20. You'll get a better rate with Wranglers, they are stuck in the 70s.
  21. Don't know if you've seen this site but it goes into quite a bit of detail. Sounds like it would have to be a serious assault to have to be disclosed. http://hub.unlock.org.uk/knowledgebase/travelling-america-usa/
  22. He could take his chances but if he gets caught out then it's likely that he'd never be allowed into the US at any point in the future. They'd look at lying to gain entry far more seriously than a conviction for fighting.
  23. There's quite a few pubs that open early - and sell alcohol - around Smithfield because of the meat market.
  24. Well there was Peter Shilton for a start and he also signed John McGovern, John O'Hare and Archie Gemmill, who'd all previously won the league with Derby. Apparently, when Shilton signed, Stoke had previously accepted a higher bid from Man Utd but the deal had fallen through because Man Utd hadn't been able to meet his wage demands. Forest were well capable of competing financially with anyone in else in England at the time.
