  1. the greens came very close to winning Hillhead at the Scottish election, they have a big support there, students trendies etc.. , to get the Green Vote elsewhere the SNP will need to give the greens a clear shot at a seat methinx...
  2. SNP should hold their 6 seats and gain 3-4 more, a wee pact with the greens and they will get their votes, give the greens a clear run at Hillhead in return.and another one in Edinburgh ... Target Inverclyde and West Dumbartonshire... Why not give Lesley Riddoch , or some other Woman for Indy Candidate a free run at a seat somewhere... Elaine C Smith in the east end perhaps.... The SNP election machine, 70000 foot soldiers will knock a lot of doors and get the vote out... The turnout will be lower but the %age of yes voters voting will be high
  3. to be fair, all NAW voters are an embarrassment to Scotland..
  4. Aye The commy games were worth million to Scotland in free advertising , well run and organised the ryder cup worth million in free advertising. well run and organised, the Referendum Campaign worth millions in advertising well run and organised.. shame we were to feart tae show the world we can run and organise our ain country..
  5. Definitely The Indy debate got the tories out.. there aint 2 million Labour voters here... Lib Vote collapsing all over and Labour phukked... Would be ironic if it was the Scottish who gave Cameron enuf tories to win next years election.. and wee ruthie had a guid referendum... I phukkin hate the tories btw, but I think they are coming back , the old and the selfish voted NAW now they will vote Tory.....

  9. Chukka Umunna will be the next Labour leader, probably around next August after the Tories/UKip form the next govt in England.
  10. has anyone suggested singing such a parcel of rouges in a nation.....
  11. 71% of under 20's voted YES.. 75 % of over 656's voted NAW............. let that be the hope for the future.......... Salmond knew the under 18's would be YES... I think he underestimated the oldies....
  12. One of my main reasons for YES is democracy, ie the people of Scotland get the govt we vote for all the time... this was always answered by' the majority didnae vote for the SNP'... ie only 44% of people who voted did and therefore the rest didnae want them.... so the majority didnae get what they wanted... u have heard the argument.. Funny how it changed when I put the same argument back at them today Naw only won 2 million out of 4.3 million votes, not a MAJORITY... mair that us I concede, but not a Majority.... its funny watchin them trying to do the maths and change the subject... my only wee bit of joy so far this weekend......

  17. I have just heard a friends father in law, the staunchest naw I had ever met about a year ago, I gave up on him, just hear he voted YES.,... has made my morning....
  18. Good Post Saint.. Devolution was not used to help Scotland or England or the UK, it was used to stop the SNP. The London parties had no interest in helping Scotland when devo was introduced......... the current proposals do very little to help Scotland, they actually hinder England and the only way out of this is to be Better Together by being one State, in everything, from fitba to NHS etc , 100% Britain and we are all just regions of this .... , or be Independent States working together doing our own thing and also helping each other out if required... I want the second as its the only fair way to proceed.. England, Quite rightly will not put up with us constantly moaning................. and wanting more... Lets GO and do it ourselves, let England do its thing as well.. the song has ended its time for a new one..
  19. I am sure not one person in Dennisitoun has been contacted by the pollsters either....
  20. FROM Todays Guardian A record number of people have registered to vote in the Scottish independence referendum, with 97% of the adult population now ready to take part in next week's vote. A total of 4,285,323 makes this the largest electorate the country has ever known for any election or referendum. The figure includes 118,640 voters who have registered in the last month alone, as well as 789,024 postal voters. It marks an increase of over 300,000 since the last Westminster election in 2012 and includes 16- and 17-year-olds who have had the vote extended to them for the first time. The unprecedented levels of registration suggest that predictions of a high turnout next Thursday – Alex Salmond has said that he expects 80% – will come to pass. Turnout in Scotland for the 2010 Westminster election was 63.8%, dipping to 50.4% the following year for elections to the Holyrood parliament

Turnout in Scotland for the 2010 Westminster election was 63.8%, dipping to 50.4% the following year for elections to the Holyrood parliament. Much has been made in recent months of the so-called "missing million" – a term that describes both those eligible to vote but missing from the register as well as those who are registered but habitually do not vote – and whether they could swing the referendum result in favour of independence. Both posts from todays Guardian.
