  1. Win and btts - Zenit (5pm - love the early ko) Real Madrid Liverpool Dortmund Juve
  2. All of us Stewarton boys are top class chappies (And all of us are excellent footballers). Don't know him personally, and I've been away from Stewarton since leaving for Uni at 18 (I'm now 47), but I hear from friends and family that he is a very genuine and friendly guy.
  3. Naismith can play up front on his own, which could open up a midfield spot. Still not convinced that leaving out Jordan Rhodes is a good thing. Would just like the option of an out and out poacher for games we will dominate and when we might risk 2 up front.
  4. Yeah, I do ok on the Aussie football. Working nightshift so live game before bed quite a few mornings. Missed a btts and win on Adelaide this morning though....
  5. Actually got the 13/8 draw with Coyotes and the Sharks last night, 3-3 no ot. Only £2 staked (not a Hartson £2 (0) !), but still....
  6. As I recall, sticking to Razzle was somewhat of an occupational hazard as a teenager.......
  7. Will be buying and and donating it to the staff restauarant at my work - to join the half dozen usual suspects that kick about all day.
  8. Is it head to head results if teams finish on the same points total ? Or overall goal difference ?
  9. Well you sound like a right pain in the erchie so why don't you fook off to Sainsbury ?
  10. I'm with Tesco. We're all aiming for ZERO subs, but top marks for loyalty ! The thing with Dotcom deliveries is that theoretically it's all very straightforward, but it depends on Stock Controllers counting correctly, and the distribution network operating correctly and on time - otherwise the poor mugs picking your order are looking at an empty shelf, and a 'sub' has to be picked instead.
  11. This. I stayed away as I am fed up with friendlies anyway, but maybe 15-20 pounds for a friendly is a price that might encourage me. So yes, I am one of the futile protest brigade. Problem for the SFA though, is that the likes of me might get into the habit of staying away, whilst the newbie glory hunters who are here for an odd big game will be away like snaw aff a dyke at the first couple of poor results. Hell mend the SFA. Golden rule of business is to look after your loyal customers for long term gain.
  12. Killie and Scotland. Toxic combination. Good for those who are genuinely ill and seeking help. The biggest frustration for me in my job is the folk who fake it. Koonts.
  13. I adopted the Bears circa 1985/86 as I was in Halls of Residence at Dundee Uni with a guy from Champagne, Illinois - the year they played the Pats in the Superbowl - we also had 2 girls from New England there so was a great night with everybody taking sides. .
  14. I'm having much more joy on US sports than football these days . Maybe my relative naivety of the US stuff is helping ! I'm on nightshift so it helps lighten the shift having a wee flutter, especially on 'high scoring' sports like the NBA or NFL, and backing total points/margins outcomes - so at least the counting is interesting. Baseball and NHL are ridiculous for favourites losing though . I kept betting against Kansas City Royals on their run to the World Series final ! .
  15. Had a decent wee spell. A fiver on 3-1 Sunderland last week at Palace was 40/1 so banked nearly 200 and played all week with 20. Down to my last 2 quid last night after no joy all day on the football - stuck it on a 4 fold on the NFL and lifted 30 ! Going to withdraw the 30 and play low odds on my free Sky tenner tonight. Also had a free tenner on Sky Casino and managed to turn it into 10 cash as well. High roller, me.
  16. Managed to avoid that one after thinking they weren't that bad last week. Got a wee lift on the handicaps with Dallas, Denver, Seattle and Green Bay - 2 paid 30.
  17. Couple of exchange trips to a place called Bonnieres-sur-Seine. Pulled a wee French burd . I was 14. French kissing almost became my favourite thing after football.
  18. I have no great fondness for The Rangers, but I am excited about Macleod nonetheless. No problem him being in the Senior squad. Would imagine Harper may get the same shout next year sometime - he certainly looks a proper player at this level, and more than holding his own here with a lot of boys regarded as stick-on future internationals for their respective countries. High hopes also for some of the young guys who have come through at Killie. Hope Matt Kennedy rips up the Championship with Hibs, and that the likes of Barbour, McKenzie and Muirhead fulfill their potential. I like what Strachan is doing by bringing in a prospect every squad - agree with his reasoning today - even if there is no intention to play them.
  19. I used to think the 'rich ignorant Yank' thing was an urban myth, but then I experienced it. Travelling Business class with BA from London to Athens, we had the pleasure of the company of Mom and Pop and their 3 young teen offspring. It was actually quite amusing for a while but I eventually did have a quiet word with one young man along the lines of he might want to ask the stewardess for a ####king parachute if he didn't stop whining and bitching loudly. TBF his Pop had a laugh and suggested he might beat me to it. Was also researching for a possible trip on the Venice Simplon Orient Express and found an absolutely hilarious review by a 'Yank' about how disappointed they were at the lack of space, shower, style of food etc.
