  1. I said at the start of the campaign, if we had the two Fletchers, Brown and Naismith fit, we'd qualify. Still believe that 100%.
  2. Not a worry at this stage of the season. Flat, tired players are the danger in June.
  3. Morrison generally starts when fit, though.
  4. Very strong squad but losing Hanley is a blow.
  5. It might be great to have a Scot, who's a year younger than Harper, at Arsenal.
  6. By that logic shouldn't we be wanting Jack Harper to move on?
  7. He's not quite big enough to be a top class centre back. He could be a really top midfielder in the Keane mould, however. With our exciting midfielders we need a bit of physique (without a drop in quality) in support of these players. I think Celtic would be a good move on account of their manager, but he should move after a few years to a top league.
  8. Bannan helps make us tick in games. It's astonishing how people don't see this. I'm glad the manager does.
  9. What pace? He runs around a lot but he's not quick.
  10. Collins had a very good left foot and worked hard but he couldn't control the tempo of a game like Ferguson.
  11. A lot of TA have a love in with John Collins. A good player who worked very hard to maximise his talent, but Ferguson had a lot more of it, and ultimately was a better player.
  12. He had some pretty hefty injuries in his career which probably held him back.. At around 22 he was absolutely outstanding - as good as anyone in Europe outwith your Zidanes etc.
  13. the pass completion doesn't reveal how much pressure the player was under when he received the ball. Bannan copes well with this. Barry Ferguson and McStay were the two best scottish players I've seen at retaining the ball under pressure, a skill lost on most here.
  14. GMS has more strings to his bow than Anya.
  15. Levein does have the vision for the big picture. Too stubborn and plain wrong as a coach but doing a great job in his new position.
  16. Gascoigne was world class pre-knee injury. Rooney is better than Tevez and I'd prefer him in my team than Bale.
  17. We should have won 4 or 5 nil at Ibrox and if it wasn't the fact we are Scotland I'd expect a comfortable 3 nil win over there. They're well short of the 2008 team.
  18. While we're on the subject of nostalgia.... After 2 min 30 things start to happen.
  19. Unless Anya is right back and Hutton at centre half...
  20. I hope that doesn't stop the full backs bombing forward.
  21. If someone turned up in a 30 year old VW Beetle, they'd be the coolest guy on the training ground and might even attract non-tangoed birds.
