  1. If He knows what’s coming, why not just nip it on the bud? Alternatively, why the advance warning? Might as well just do hee haw if it’s locked in.
  2. Senior Russian officials told to evacuate Crimea according to Twitter reports.
  3. I’m confident that after being comprehensively beaten by Ukraine and Ireland that Clarke will go with exactly the same tactics again in the hope that things turns out different.
  4. Centre halves are invariably at their best in their early 30s.
  5. Robertson is out of the Ajax game, no mention of Scotland.
  6. Maybe they think fielding two different teams against the same nation will be more informative. Dunno.
  7. I think the whole squad will get a game over the 2 matches.
  8. Hope he wasn’t booked for dissent.
  9. I hope Middleton will make it. He’s got some strike on him and a good eye for goal, generally. In the right formation with the right manager he could be very effective.
  10. For Champions League games, I could see Rangers going to a back 3 of King, Goldson and Davies/Barisic with Tavernier and Barisic/Yilmaz as wing backs. Would be great for King’s development if it happened.
  11. Doak’s goal v Napoli. He is uncannily like Middleton when running with the ball. I had high hopes for Middleton who has not yet become as good as I hoped. Hopefully Doak can do it.
  12. He’s made a big impression off the bench in the EPL and I think he’ll soon be a starter, possibly at Fraser’s expense.
  13. McGregor was very good in the first half against Real, but like the whole team, ran out of steam in the second. In response to the earlier post, we should be doing all we can to get Dire Mebude fast tracked up the levels. I think he is going to be a star player.
  14. McTominay and Tierney are powerful athletes and that’s why they’re in midfield in my team. If we’ve got players who can get about the pitch and impose themselves I think we should use them in that way. The back three, for me, leaves us short in midfield against good sides and we end up on the back foot and under pressure. With the help of McGregor and McGinn, I’d fancy McTominay and Tierney to get us much more of the ball. We have fantastic full backs who could then support the attack.
  15. Not a winger, it’s a diamond. McTominay and Tierney midfielders inside right and left channels, but can also drop when the full backs get forward and overlap. Anderson Newcastle.
  16. 4-4-2 McTominay and Tierney up and down the pitch with McGregor pulling the strings in the middle. McGinn tip of the diamond. Burke or Anderson as second striker supporting Adams. Gordon Patterson Souttar McKenna Robertson McTominay McGregor Tierney McGinn Adams Anderson
  17. McTominay will be Man Utd captain one day. Hickey could well end up in midfield. Having a two footed DM there would be very interesting.
  18. I see. Since we didn’t qualify, I’m not sure that’s an excuse. I don’t remember this being explained at the time either.
  19. I quite like the strip. The womens team wearing it tonight which given they had a new top in March must be very annoying for those who bought one.
  20. King is a very good player but I worry slightly he might not be quite tall enough to match the huge strikers and defenders we seem to come up against at international level. He’s 18 so might yet grow a bit. I reckon he’s about 6ft.
  21. What do you make of the Wembley 67 top? Not much happening there, and yet a stone cold classic.
  22. Maybe they will be blue with three purple Adidas stripes.
