Anyone watch the first series which concluded on Tuesday.? Really enjoyed it. Second series commission although maybe someone can tell me WTF is going on regarding the plot. :wink2:

£16m was offered by King and his associates. This was rejected by the board in favour of a £2m loan from Ashley and now its up to £3m. Its a massive game of bluff. The existing board seem to be laying the blame directly at those fans who are staying away. The threat of jobs cuts off the pitch strikes a raw nerve to many as most of these will be long serving relatively low paid staff. Again this is a threat to alienate boycotting fans. All could be resolved if either Ashley or his representatives could explain what their intentions are.

Dons Debt News

Strange days when fans celebrate winning the debt free cup whilst sucking on the teet of the rangers and Celtic. Great days indeed -

Are Aberdeen fans making any moves towards fan ownership ? This is something Rangers fans are slowly but surely moving towards through Rangers First. -

am I imagining what has happened to rangers in the last three years? You are being deliberately provocative, I get that. -

HBOS have probably learned the lesson from the sale of Rangers. They called in the £20m and forced the sale. Doubt any Scottish club will be exposed to this in the near future. Different times. The spectre of the big tax case spooked many, including buyers and creditors. This left a gaping whole for opportunists. Its clear Aberdeen ,Hearts and many others lived beyond their means but as a result of debt restatement/reclassification they have pulled through. -
Anyone Buying Tesco Shares

back to break even :cheers3: -
as has been shown in results this season so far there is not much difference between the bottom six in the top flight and the top teams in the Championship. So fair play to Strachan, he is his own man and wont be swayed by petty club tit for tat .

Shop in Lidl. Don't really like Aldi shopping experience. Lidl seems to offer a lot more in term of "deluxe" foreign brands and have a more extensive range of non food products. I know that might sound strange. Still shop sometimes at Tesco as I have go to support my investment.

Dons V Celtic
EddardStark replied to dandydunn's topic in Football related - Discussion of non TA football
no intentions of hounding anyone. Why would Celtic prefer to donate £10k to Poppy Scotland in preference to placing a poppy on their shirt. Not only that but feel the need to explain their donation but not explain their decision to not wear the poppy? -

Are Celtic the only senior club in Scotland not to wear a poppy on their top? Have they explained why they make this choice? Fair play to Mclean, he has explained up to a point? -

Tough on Aberdeen. Really impressed with how they took the game to Celtic second half. All three goals where the result of poor defending. -
Its being reported in the Scotsman that McCoist will ask for Macleod to be released to play next Sat if he does not feature the night before. Then Macleod can return to the Scotland squad for the England game. I personally hope this request is turned down as it no doubt be used as a precedent for future double headers. Hearts have made a similar request for 2 of their u21's players who are in the squad for the friendly the week following their home game away to Falkirk.

No Games On Today?
EddardStark replied to Angus_Young's topic in Football related - Discussion of non TA football
top four sides in the championship are on a good run. Some massive head to heads coming up over the next six weeks. Rangers have to go to Hearts, Queen of The South and Hibs before end of year. Going to be fun. -
Great Covers

Going Back by Dusty Springfield. Originally co-written and sung by Carole King. -
First of all absolutely no-one should be forced to wear a poppy. "Mr Whelan, for me to wear a poppy would be as much a gesture of disrespect for the innocent people who lost their lives in the Troubles –" is he speaking for the 644 civilians killed by the IRA? and the 272 RUC men and women? Leaving aside the 656 British soldiers?

I am hearing the effigy of Eck was actually blown up instead of being torched. Can anyone confirm? -

David Cameron effigy was burned on a Lewes bonfire a few years ago. Barely a peep. -

Get a grip :-)) Do a bit of reading on it and enlighten yourselves. Eck is joining some fellow famous burned effigies. -

its not meant to be serious. If it was then burning a guy on any bonfire should be banned. As I have said this has gone on for years. We are too precious on these things. Salmond laughed it off in an interview tonight. Fair play to him.
