  1. STV should seize this opportunity. The BBC will always be against Scottish independence so its news output is always going to be full of unionist fear-mongering about how Scotland would face armageddon without London rule. Apart from the Labour Party, the "Scottish" media have been one of the biggest casualties post 2014 referendum. People now know they always have agendas and aren't to be trusted - and more importantly the lies and bile they spewed in 2014 won't fly next time.
  2. Went to see this last night. Excellent, hillarious and top class production. Anyone else been / goin?
  3. Might have picked this up wrong, but would I be right in thinking that you don't always have to stop on a red light in South Africa because the carjacking rate is so high in some places?
  4. Yes. This should be the strongest team that's likely to start against Slovenia. No point trying new players and tactics if that's not the game plan on the Sunday.
  5. Folk that bring in smelly lunches at eat them at their desk. No one wants to smell that!
  6. I would like to see as close to a full team as possible. This game is a warm up for Slovenia, not a development game
  7. What are folks thoughts on the big money attracting players to China in a bid to boost their league? Kind of a bigger version what Man City have done over the last few years but spread out more evenly.
  8. Dead at 73 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/38633847/wwe-star-jimmy-superfly-snuka-dies-aged-73
  9. Where's the Canada chat coming from?
  10. $56 a barrel at time of typing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business/market_data/commodities/143908/intraday.stm
  11. " Strachan has won eight of his 20 competitive matches in charge, but only three - against Gibraltar, twice, and Malta - of the past 10." That makes some pretty grim reading. Any game should be at Hampden to get the players ready, both physically and used to the environment.
  12. Confirmed by the state broadcaster http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38313452
  13. For me, the match isn't the top draw anymore. Because we only play a few times a year, each match is a day out to catch up with folk. One of my mates semi-jokingly said "oh aye, there's a game tonight" when we arrived at Wembley but hard to argue with that concept. 20 years and 6 managers without a tournament shows the culture within the SFA is the problem. A full clearout and restructure is needed if we are ever to be competitive again. We could well be coming out of Pot 4 for Euro 2020 at this stage.
  14. A co-ordinated walk out during the England game would be most effective I think. Would it be safe to assume the majority of SSC ticketholders are in the North Stand? This is opposite the camera positions and an empty stand during one of our biggest games in years being beamed around the world might send a message? Flip side is that the SFA will have already had their money off everyone so will they really care..?
  15. 1945 on a Sunday night next game. More of a Hampden Purr and perhaps a few shouts from those taking advantage of a Sunday Sesh.
  16. This. The SFA is run as a commercial organisation instead of a Governing Body. This is what will get their attention.
  17. If there's a low turnout at the next game the SFA will say it's because it's a Sunday night. The England game will be packed and the SFA know there's easy money to be made there - and already made from season ticket sales.
  18. Same here - usually stay til the end at every game but this one was a particular sickener. We've shown we're a 3rd pot team heading to 4th. Changing managers over recent years has been ineffective so for me the change has to be at the top with the CEO, Board and full restructure required. Easier said than done I know but other nations have done it successfully.
  19. And think Fletcher played The through ball for him
  20. Surely better to go with someone who's coming up against Man Utd, Arsenal etc than Ross County & Dundee - especially since their whole team (ex Joe Hart) are English based.
  21. Is Stephen Kingsley not next in line at left back? Definitely more suited to this game than Lee Wallace.
