  1. This is part of the White Noise propaganda war - threatening the Balkanisation of Scotland. Sadly, I think we'll hear more of this bollix in the coming months.
  2. I used to think he had the ability to sound intelligent, but his being an apologist for BLiS knows no shame. Gary Robertson (I think) gave wee Ian Murray a good roasting this morning on GMS over how autonomous 'Scottish' Labour really is.
  3. Great to be able to help here. It really will make a big difference to these youngsters. Look forward to the photos soon ?
  4. Well, they weren't at the game. I went and counted them: 17 or 18 in all, no young ones, and that meant there were more Scots in the ground than Belgians. And a cracking end to the game: 2-0 at 70 minutes, then 2-2 with 20 seconds on the clock before Belgium rescued it with a late winner.
  5. We're just across in Valletta. Will try and get to this
  6. Just saw a Facebook post by the woman who heads up this charity. 'No one puts their children in a boat unless the water is safer than the land'.
  7. Well done to the Sunshine Appeal for organising yet another donation. There's another local children's charity, Help the Children at Hal Far, which is raising money for migrant children who've landed in Malta. Some have lost their parents; all have experienced things we can barely imagine, escaping wars and grinding poverty, not to mention a dangerous sea voyage. Some of the Maltese are trying to help them make a new start at Hal Far. Please, if you see someone from this charity with a collecting can in the bars or on the way into the stadium, throw your splash or a couple of euros in. Let's leave behind lots of good memories of the Tartan Army.
  8. Heard this item too. Very interesting, especially as the guy said he was from a Labour background himself.
  9. Someone on here last year posted a link to McTernan's record / predictions. It may have been selective, but he was wrong every single time, and seems pretty disconnected. What I think that means is Corbyn is safe.
  10. The NEC vote was only 18-14 in favour of Corbyn. No unity there. Looking forward to this scrap.
  11. Thanks for the tips. Really looking forward to this.
  12. Thanks. I've only got two days, so limited in how much I can spend. Where's best to stay? Loads of options coming up on websites, but I don't know where to go / where to avoid.
  13. Any recommendations for hotels, and for things to see/do? Planning two clear days on a stop-over in October.
  14. Only heard about this on the way into the ground tonight. No text or email from SNCF We were booked on the 2pm train, friends on the 12. Looks like several trainloads will try and get on the 8:56.
  15. Follow the sound of singing...
  16. Parts of Paris flooded. Due to pass through there this afternoon.
  17. Assuming we get to Metz, does anyone want to swap a £16 tic for a £32 one, or vice versa? Mrs P and me currently in different sections. I'm not worried about me, but Mrs on her own maybe not a good idea. Innocent TA must be protected.
  18. Does Scottish National Portrait Gallery cafe wifi trump that? ? Either way, Mrs P a happy bunny now.
  19. Four minutes past twelve: all tickets sold out. Reckon I got the last one, but still looking for one for Mrs P. Any of you elite harvesters want to pass one on?
  20. That's ripping off fellow fans. When did that become acceptable?
  21. We had some green beer as part of a 'degustation' of different beers in one microbrewery bar. It had nettles in it. Not bad, once you got over the nettly bits.
