  1. you can also fly Dublin Kiev / Yerevan the day after the Dublin game
  2. You can get to the airport through the dublin tunnel in 20 mins from the stadium and the away fans end is the right side for the airport. Either pre book a taxi or take the air coach which runs every 20 mins approx
  3. Then why the media witch hunt Why the social media threats and abuse If it was a genuine voluntary thing there wouldn't be any publicity regardless of weather people chose to wear or not to wear. You can fool yourself but on the world stage ir shows the UK off as intolerant
  4. How can you say noone is firced to wear a poppy if its embroided into the nwtch day shirt James McClean refuses to wear one and gets death threats in social media and a huge amount of abuse. How you can even think that this is a voluntary gesture ? - Wear a poppy or face massive abuse Some freedom that is
  5. From an outsider I find this practice of forcing people to wear poppys disgusting. It is political and comments as made by Theresa May just reinforce this. There is nothing genuine about this anymore and shows the UK as an intolerant society.
  6. So no tickets go to the the SPL clubs or say a local amateur league in the highlands. And no tickets to the various sponsors of the SFA? What about SFA council members, do they also have to join the SSC and apply with other fans?
  7. Can anyone tell me what % of away tickets are allocated to the SSCscheme. The FAI allocate 30% of away tickets through its scheme and supporters clubs, with 55% going to affiliates and sponsors and 15% to the official travel agent.
  8. Anyone looking for a good night on the Friday, there is a charity questions and answers night, followed by live music on in the Clyde Court Hotel, right beside the stadium. Gary Mckay scorer of the Scotland goal in Sofia in 1987, that resulted in Irelands qualification for Euro 88 is one of the guests. Others will be confirmed shortly and the event is being broadcast live on radio in Ireland. Hopefully the event will get a 50/50 mix of supporters and make for a great pre match party. Anyone interested in tickets, they will be available shortly and I will post up a link here. Proceeds of the night will be split between Make a Wish and a Scottish Charity.
  9. Car parks can be very expensive in the city centre, check prices before you park... on street parking is €3 an hour and car parks can be similar prices Do the college have any car park deals?
  10. Do all tickets go to the ticket scheme? are there no tickets for clubs, affiliates, players, sponsors etc taken out of the allocation first?
  11. \if you want late nights and party party, you are in the best spot, home of Diceys night club, and known to serve a fry before bed on occassions
  12. Hope you don't want early nights, ALL the best clubs are within a two minute crawl no need to waste money on taxis
  13. Location wise go for the Harrington House Hostel, if the bouncers in Coppers throw you out the front door, you will be in your hostel :-) Or Tmes Hostel Camden Place, a very drunk 3 minutes walk from Coppers / Diceys etc
  14. You could get locked out and have to spend the night in Coppers
  15. McElroy is about a further 10 minutes from the centre.....good exercise
  16. Great location, five minutes from Coppers and Diceys night clubs,
  17. The FAI will most likely give you all the North Stand which is around 3,000 seats. Depending on how home ticket sales are going they will then decide if to give the Scots more tickets or not. IF we beat Poland in Marg ach there will be a huge increase in demand, but if we don't the match will not sell out. Currently a 3 match package is available to cover the Scots, English and Polish games, and I'd imagine the touts will buy a lot of them (€120) as they would be looking at selling them individually for about €60 a match.
  18. Very central, and normally full of young backpackers Ten minute walk to loads of pubs, five minutes to the dart for Lansdowne, the 747 from the airport drops you at the door of the hostel for €6 each and taxis should be about €20/25 max for 4 from the aiport
  19. Taxi for 4 is only €20 to the airport, aircoach is €7 and is slow, even with no traffic it has to travel at same speed as rush hour....stupid european legislation re bus routes and timetables
  20. unless you have a through ticket with the one airline, you would be mad to book it amsterdam is a very busy airport at all times
  21. Ibis is miles out. Plenty of better options at the same price bracket No decent pubs near by and 30 mins by tram to town If you want a few beers not a good location. Hotel is ok just the location
  22. if in the away end you are on the right side of the ground, turn right and walk till you get taxi, max 20 mins i reckon and its 15 mins to airport through the tunnel, taxi max €25 inc tolls
  23. If anyone has a group of 35/40 you could do a tour from Dublin taking in great spots like Carlow Kilkenny cork Galway athlone for about 50 a head for bus transfers and get hostels for about 15 a night
  24. If you have a big group loads of alternative what age group and I can reccommend plenty of towns
