  1. The Sun reporting that Tierney is out for the season most likely. Fingers crossed he can make it for Euros.
  2. His international career has been far too stop-start similar to some of his ups and downs at Celtic. There was a spell when he didn’t get a chance early enough by Strachan when he was at the top of his game and did then come in and do well and proved a threat. Goal away to Slovenia should have had us on way to a play off until we shat the bed. It does look increasingly like his time is over unfortunately. It’s a shame because finishers like him are few and far between.
  3. The only tickets available in May will be facilitated via the SFA. They’ve yet to confirm the process so we’ve not been asked to register for anything yet.
  4. I thought they’d done away with ballots and were now opening up sales windows at the appropriate points level and then working their way down. i.e. 500 tickets left 12 points (513 members) - sales open 12-3pm on Monday. 11 points (624 members) - sales open 12-3pm on Tuesday (if any tickets remain) ...and so on. is that not the way the SFA have been doing it for years now as opposed to ballot?
  5. Is the Waverley back in action? 😂
  6. That would mean a lot of to and fro for the SFA when it comes to issuing codes for more and more people as they get further down the points. Continually having to issue new codes for small numbers of tickets that haven’t been taken up by points holder further up the chain.
  7. So when they get to a level where there are more fans that tickets, they just issue all fans on that level of points a code and let UEFA site handle that traffic on a first-come, first served basis? I guess that would work if UEFA support that as a method.
  8. It’s must get complicated for the SFA to work down the points system at the cut off point. They’d need to do a draw at the cut off point to determine who gets offered tickets, then release more tickets in batches, gradually working their way down. Sounds quite admin intensive. Unless the SSC offering to fans is a one time exercise and any not taken just go back to UEFA - which would leave a lot of folk unhappy.
  9. What would be the mechanism for UEFA blocking someone from having both ballot and SSC tickets? Is it just a data matching exercise? I can’t remember if they collected passport numbers - I imagine that would be the only true unique identifier.
  10. I agree. That’s what would be my version or ‘fair’ but appreciate that others will have differing view.
  11. Both perfectly valid viewpoints and I can see and agree with aspects of it. The positive perspective is that a few weeks ago we were talking about not having any games in Glasgow. Now that battle is won, folk are unhappy at the conditions - understandably to an extent. We have to start somewhere though and recognise that Glasgow hasn’t had fans at an event for over 1 year now. Appreciate that it’s not the circumstances folk want and removes a lot of the social interaction that we all love around the game - but it’s a start. And if folk would rather watch with friends & families in pubs or beer gardens then they have that option and others would happily take tickets. It’s unfortunate that they’d miss out but I’m not sure there’s much to criticise about the conditions given where we’re coming from. Let’s hope we continue to head in the right direction in the management of the virus as I think this highlights that we all want full stadiums back as soon as possibly safe.
  12. Good effort considering this mate! Next time like you say! 👍🏻
  13. No confirmation from SFA yet but I’d assume it will be points system but fans have differing opinions on whether those with most points should get first dibs on tickets to every game. Remains to be seen whether SFA deviate from that. These would be completely separate from UEFA ballot.
  14. I just read on Twitter that all the live tv news broadcasters changed outfits to black. 🤔 I just don’t get the connection that folk feel to the royals and the outpouring of joy/grief depending on the events. Each to their own I guess. I wish them no ill will.
  15. Doesn’t confirm everything but does at least confirm there will be an allocation to the SFA and to away teams for all games (although fans need to decide whether to negotiate Covid/quarantine restrictions or apply for a refund). Suppose there’s also nothing to stop away fans making a quick buck from re-selling tickets privately. Hopefully not! So there’ll be another ballot for the already balloted UEFA public sale tickets. The Croats and Czechs will need to run a ballot for the tickets for they’ve already sold or cancel some based on their system. And the SFA will get some allocation to offer out in May based on their chosen criteria.
  16. Campaigning suspended after the death of Prince Phillip. Not sure how long that lasts.
  17. I do think that the tickets for each home game should be pulled together and distributed down the points system - as opposed to the same fans getting tickets to both home games.
  18. The issue is that as the number of active infections increase, it alters the risk profile to the point that the vaccine is less risk than Covid. This is in the low/medium/high exposure risks that they modelled. It’s logical that if you have a sizeable % of people not vaccinated then you risk having more active infections in the population and that then increases the risk profile.
  19. Yeah but surely you can see his logic of taking £50 tickets off of people in Scotland who got them in a public ballot and then re-selling them to .... errr ... Scottish public. Only for £100. 😂 Its been a while since we had some good old ticket hysteria. UEFA announcement can’t come quick enough.
  20. Correct. Worth noting that there’s not been an ‘away’ fan within a UK stadium for 13 months now. That’s why I would reckon it’s a bit of a bold assumption that this is a ‘must do’ for UEFA.
  21. Because exactly as you said, they need to get down to 12k ticket holders. Incidentally, UEFA sold their ballot tickets before the Czechs and Croats sold theirs. You’re making an assumption that they will prioritise and protect a certain entitlement to FA’s. I’m not making any assumptions as there are no defining rules for the situation we find ourselves in. We’ll not know anything until UEFA announce what’s going on.
  22. UEFA have an obligation to FA’s to allocate tickets under the normal circumstances but all bets are off to be honest.
