  1. Quite funny, the hatred of Wales as they’ve given us a few pumpings in recent times. Remember chatting to a few of them after the Nations Cup game in Dublin and they were fine. Numpties in every support/country of course.
  2. Let’s be honest - whisky is howling! Marketed to make us think it’s something suave and inspirational that makes us intellectual. When in fact, it’s just rotten. Better aff with a couple of Smirnoff Ice, Blue WKD or Bacardi Breezers. Good that Scotland gets the benefit of conning folk to this fact and profits from exporting around the world though. 🙂

Any idea how many tickets we sold out of the 2,700 ?
  4. Great numbers on the tickets sold. Brilliant to see such enthusiasm for the national team again.
  5. I did wonder that. Really can’t see us taking anywhere near 2,700 so more likely that the sales windows concluded?
  6. I don’t imagine that anyone other than the SSC know the answer to that. There’s no seat selection - it’s just ordering a ticket so no idea to know what’s left.
  7. Go in to your purchase history (where you were), click on the ‘I’ icon for additional info on the transaction. You’ll see an option to ‘resend email’ - try that. The status of printed just means that it has (or should have) been sent by email. You don’t need to print the tickets if you can show them on a smartphone. Doesn’t do any harm to have a printed copy as back up
  8. 1 point per member for purchasing a ticket for the Poland game.
  9. Ticket website says ‘Collect In Person’. Sensible decision from the SSC to avoid people collecting points like you suggest.
  10. Aye, fair enough. 👍
  11. Add another +1 to the list. My isolation finishes tomorrow. My other half didn’t get it despite us living completely as normal in the confines of a flat for the past 9 days. She was testing LFT’s every day and even went for a PCR to be sure.
  12. No if you think that your development is better served at an elite Serie-A club rather than spending a week travelling all over Europe to play at a lower standard. It’s not unreasonable to reconcile that it is in the best interest of the player and the (full) national team for Hickey to maximise his development, and for that journey to not involve U21 football.
  13. Not quite as cheap as I suggested but not bad pricing all the same: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/scotland-to-play-poland-in-support-of-ukraine-fundraising-appeal/?rid=14258
  14. Can’t see it at such short notice. I think it’ll be marginally closer to 15,000 than 35,000. Although, great opportunity to get kids in after the buzz of euros and good WC campaign where games have sold out. Would be great if they did £10 adults and £1 for kids or something like that.
  15. The longer this goes on, I feel like it’s more likely that the SFA buckle and play the game in Poland.
  16. To counter balance that, I’d say that the vast majority of Scotland fans have thought/expected us to scud Wales every time we’ve played them in the last 20 or so years - resulting in pumpings in the 4-0 friendly and the 2 qualifiers that mattered. Only the non-event Carling Cup could we get a result. If any Welsh fans were smug I can’t imagine it would be any worse than us - and at least their team were able to back it up. Let’s hope the tide turns if we were to meet in a final.
  17. If Poland are really pushing to have the friendly at home in Chorzow then I reckon it’ll come down to a negotiation and SFA will take the cash, even although Clarke probably wouldn’t 2 away games in a week.
  18. This is an interesting point. I had just default assumed it would be Sat 4th. I wonder if we will align with the Friday night so that there’s less disruption.
  19. Well I’m sure it’s an opportunity for the management to learn at least something or try some new players which they don’t normally have the option of doing now with every game competitive. They’re also not forcing anyone to go you know?!!
  20. I don’t see why people are so upset at the prospect of friendlies. Regardless of how weak or strong the squad, it’ll be a usual friendly/training exercise and have no major bearing on our progression. I don’t see what there is to lose.
  21. 24th - friendly TBC. Home or away unknown, but previous suggestion of Poland seems logical. Someone on Twitter suggesting Poles want it over there which again seems logical if they can cut down on travel before their play-off final. 29th - exactly as you say. Ukraine tickets remain valid for new date.
  22. Shouldn’t have cancelled those Cardiff & Vienna hotels earlier today. 😂
  23. Uch for heavens sake. It was a joke ye know!
  24. Thplinth will be along in a minute to correct you that it’s the Ukrainians who are the Nazis in this movie.
