Let's just copy the many good examples set by other countries, sure we have some different challenges but there's it one that can't be overcame to produce a better standard of player. We look and play like a lower league EPL / mid table championship side and have done for several years.

I was in the minority but on the balance of play I thought Poland deserved to beat us over there. They battered us after we went ahead. I've not seen a lot of them since but watched all the Ireland game and they didn't look quite as dangerous, especially in the second half when Ireland more than deserved their point. Technically they are a level above us and Ireland.

I love the wee man but that's a staggering thing to say after that game.

Happy with the effort, a similar level and we would have faired much better in Georgia. Poor performance though, although largely in part to playing a fantastic Germany team. Not watched the highlights but amazed we managed the 2 goals.

Knackered more like. You can only press and chase a ball, players and sometimes shadows for so long. I thought we needed to freshing things up 10 mins quicker than we did. Germany's pressing was brilliant and really focused on our weakness of technique, especially in tight spaces.

I think the Ireland team is well equipped to get a point in Poland and possibly against Germany. A victory in either is very unlikely based on this and recent campaigns. No hard feelings towards Ireland if they make it, they got a point in Germany and beat Georgia away, that's points gained on us from their defeat.

Apart from not being able to use his right foot my biggest problem with Fletcher is he's lazy. Not ideal when you're struggling away from home.
