  1. is it really Scotland though , or certain parts of Scotland..... never seems much of an issue further north and east
  2. Gave up on walking dead last season After years of dedicated viewing The Road ; book and film are way better
  3. Origins of term 'redneck' stems from guys/farmers working in the fieldsUsually easy to spot these days dressed in hunting camo in the local Walmart Anyone see the mad men episode where Roger blacked up but some characters still uneasy with it I know it's make believe but they always tried to highlight the attitudes of the time correctly - hiring of their first black secretary etc
  4. Mind being at a midweek game v hearts at pittodrie where Justin Fashanau was playingWas very little or no stuff aimed at him Not sure if the fans were that accepting 20 yrs back or fact was a dismal 0-0 midweek game , cold night etc

  6. a lot of folk ; i.e. people outside UK that have little dealing with it/knowledge of it ; refer to the the main island as england - as galling as that is to stomach - the Scotland , Wales , GB , UK thing leaves them reeling worked with a Rumanian guy for years who backed up this point up ; although this view had been formed on north american experiences ; living in Canada , holiday a lot in US ; where many have never seen the sea , or hold passports
  7. looks like the back to the future motor has been in use down ibrox way 11k crowds , dire performances, geting gubbed by diiddy teams , unhappy punters just need john greig to step and all will be complete a 30 year blip
  8. was a song sung by Dons fans in 90s aimed at Hertzs Ian Baird ; comparing him to a horses appendage always thought it to be quite funny at the time ; am sure would now be a target for the thought police ditto ; oh tinky, tinky, tinky tinky tinky tinky Galloway ; there may have been some reference to teletubbies in this case
  9. no am not seriously suggesting ; if you read my post - but as far as things have come over the years - someone may find it offensive the song refers to Rooney MUFC fame i understand having a liaison with a lady of the night - who happens to be a grandmother the AFC version parodies this for benefit of their own Rooney i listed reason before why some folk may find it offensive ie sheep shagging bastarts ; in trying to explain that to a kid what that means jimmy saville big jock knew etc shades of grey.... i still feel safe however with the 80s classic 'theres only one united , and thats an effing biscuit'
  10. how about ; your granny is safe - good humour , or poor taste , offensive to grannies ; young men who are in relationships with grannies , and young kids asking their embarrassed parents ; why is their granny safe ; and what has rooney to do with it ? cannot stomach the sectarian bile ; but the over sanitizing of the game since 90s also puts me off
  11. We don't do walking away.... Did anyone get a flag nicked at ibrix today incidentally
  12. He's nay , he's spentHis house is up for rent Jimmy Durrant Jimmy Durrant That the one ? Always thought it a catchy little ditty But SFA to do with little battles fought in Ireland over 300 years back Can't beat the mock outrage from the peepul
  13. Think Euros in Sweden 92 appeared as a watershedThe kilt and caterpillar boot combo seemed en vogue I wasn't there mind ; just saw blokes in Euston en route and tv coverage
