Definite headaches for Clarke now for the Serbia game which is a great thing although i think Dykes, Fraser and McGinn should be nailed on as they just look like they click and we should go with it. Also Marshall, Mctominay and Gallagher have earned their start. For other central defender then choice between McKenna, Cooper, Considine. I would pick Cooper who has experience of being against Mitrovic. For me wing backs would be Robertson and Tierney and dont care if both left footers, the gulf in quality between them and the other choices is huge. Then its a choice of 2 between McGregor, Jack, Mclean and Fleck for holding mids. I would go with McGregor and Jack. Having Christie and Armstrong as options if we need them on bench would be excellent. Just great to have so much depth. Lets all hope Clarke has everyone available.

Yeah I think you are probably right but we need to make sure to keep height in the team or Serbia will do us at set pieces. I actually think if we get lucky with availability then will be very close game.

Totally agree i thought Cooper and Gallagher were excellent and big improvement by Mctominay even though he badly mis timed his header when he should have scored There was a lack of quality on the ball but the effort and will to win was very good. (as it should be)

I thought he would go for Mclean unstead of Jack but got the other 10.. I expect this formation too. I cant see many attacks down our right hand side.

Might want to swap out Armstrong as he has the covid. Definite argument for that front 3 though

Yes i think this definitely could be something else to exploit. Last month with better players we were barely a threat and only scored due to a pen given by a Dykes knock down from a corner. I dont mind these tactics in this one off game as its all about the result. I dont see us playing silky fitbaw and cutting through with who we have left. (Or ever really) Biggest worries is the lack of goals scored at this level with McGinn on 7 and Robbo on 3 and then Dykes, Fraser on 1. Also 5 caps between the 2 centre halves is frightening. Also have to do so much better at closing down their right back Dasa who put in 2 peaches of a cross including when mctominay lost Dabbur at back post in 1st half.

This is a total disaster.. Biggest game we have had in years and about 30 hrs to initiate a new game plan with a depleted squad. Although big opportunity for the guys remaining to pull one out the bag.

If he goes back to a back 4 then for me Tierney plays at right back. Without him there whoever we play at right back will be targeted and if we play him at centre half i worry about lack of aerial ability overall in the team as set pieces are crucial. Also even playing right back then tierney can cut in on left foot and cross the ball which he is so good at. He cant do that at centre half. We also need as many players who can score goals including from central midfield. Hopefully all the players get game time and come back fit and raring to go. Marshall Tierney. Mckenna. Cooper.
