One advantage we have is that by the time we play Poland (2nd last game) we will know exactly what we need to do against them. If we have managed to draw level on points with them before that game then a 0-0 or a 1-1 draw will be enough for us to beat them on the head to head. I really hate it when Scotland set out to play for a draw though. 3 games to play before that though. Need to get them sorted first.

From what I've seen of Poland, I think they are a very decent team but I think they are very weak in central defence. Did you get that impression from tonight's game? Well done on securing a point with yet another lucky, sorry, I mean late goal. I will not feel comfortable against you lot unless we are 3-0 up with 2 minutes to play.

I learned something tonight. I learned that I have been right all along to say that Maloney is not good enough to play for Scotland.

When the draw was made one of my first thoughts was that, Georgia have no chance of qualifying but they could have big influence in deciding who does. Unfortunately you guys and Poland have already beaten them away from home so that will probably mean that we will have to do the same. That won't be easy though, we only just managed to beat them at Ibrox. I am actually more confident of beating Poland at Hampden than I am of winning away to Georgia. As you say almost impossible to predict this one. I just hope that whoever finishes 3rd gets the automatic qualifying spot. I think we will have deserved it.

To be fair, Fletcher was excellent when he came on in that game. Showed some real class under pressure. Poland were very good in that last half hour and probably deserved to win.

3 points, 6 goals - job done. Apart from not keeping a clean sheet I would have happily accepted that before kick off. The performance was absolutely pish poor though. I'm not sure any Scotland player would get pass marks (Marshall maybe) but I think Maloney deserves a special mention. He must have passed the ball to Gibraltar players more often than the entire Gibraltar team did. Another clean sheet for Gordon Greer will keep him happy - ish? When we go into the final game needed 3 points to qualify, the nature of this performance will be forgotten and we can confidently expect to go through in style with a 10 - 0 victory. Highlight of the day was when the two folk almost took off out of the stadium on the runaway Vauxhall blimp. That was first class pre match entertainment.
