To reiterate this point, why is this thread in TA Specific? We have far bigger issues affecting us than whether a country next door wins a tournament.

Hola! I started my second attempt at learning Spanish this week, which is going well so far. I work with a lot of multi-lingual people and I'm always a bit embarrassed at only speaking English so I'm determined to do it this time. Anyone on here speak another language? Got any tips for learning? I've got the Michel Thomas stuff which I've found pretty good, using that plus Coffee Break Spanish podcasts and a bit of a play on Duolingo every day.

That would've been my guess due to Strachan's contempt for friendlies. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if it was only one in May/June. Including these November dates we're missing, a lot of teams will play a minimum of 6 games in the time we only play 3.

The results I'm hoping for: Scotland 1-0 Poland RoI 0-4 Germany Poland 3-1 RoI What I actually think will happen: Scotland 0-0 Poland RoI 0-2 Germany Poland 0-0 RoI I very much doubt Strachan will go for it unless it's 0-0 in Dublin with 20 to go and we're not winning, as the fear of getting beat is too great. I just dont really think we have the bottle as evidenced in Georgia to win when we absolutely have to either.

We can't be relying on other results going our way, we have to go out and win this game. That was most of the problem last week in my opinion, playing down the importance of the Georgia game which just seemed to make everyone scared of it!

It would have had we not been so abject on Friday. One of the problems seems to be dealing with pressure, the players just couldn't do that on Friday. Last night with the pressure off there was far more spirit and a much better performance. I know we had to win but it was the world champions with some of the best players in the world who are light years ahead of us and expected to turn us over so the pressure is negated in that sense compared to Friday. Now with the absolute must win pressure back on I don't think the players will be able to hack it.

I reckon Strachan will go with: Marshall Hutton Martin Hanley Whittaker Brown Mulgrew Maloney Naismith Ritchie Fletcher Personally I'd go Whittaker instead of Hutton and leave Robertson in, Mcarthur instead of Mulgrew in midfield and Russell in place Ritchie.

I can't help thinking Fletcher would've got that with his right foot! Decent start, just need to test that keeper out!

I've started looking into getting something like this, mainly due to the same as someone said earlier that I'm paying loads to Sky which while very good is still a lot of money! As much as it always nice to see the odd new face, this isn't the time to be experimenting. It'll be tried and trusted from Strachan, with the only changes being due to injuries.
