BlueBonnetsowertheBorder
Is everyone just going to give up and crawl back under their stones? Or are we going to regroup, analyse where it went pearshaped, though the fact BT were confident of a 10 point lead at 10:30pm and bookies shortening odds of a no win even as late as that last night before votes had been counted stinks to high heaven, rethink our strategy and fight on to be given another shot at this in a few years time? Can we just give up?
Guest Extreme0
I think people are going through a stage where they rather be left alone for a bit. We can discuiss this matter more better once everybody is more calmed down. Then we can think of campaigning. Most likely campaigning for federalism (Actual Devo Max) and get almost everyone who has campaigned for Yes and No to support. It's going to be hard no doubt when things are bitter and divided. So we will have to calm down.
Armchair Bob
We won't give up. But we have to be sure of it next time. Above all, the media has to be in our pocket. There needs to be a broad consensus in parliament as opposed to a narrow majority. There has to be regular and visible demonstrations. And independence needs to get into the boardrooms - the sort of thing Jim Mather was doing a few years ago. The sad thing is, talking about making a fairer society hasn't worked. Perhaps we need instead to be talking about making greedy bunny rabbits even richer. But then what's the point Edited September 19, 2014 by Armchair Bob
