ALBANACH
I like the Captain Cook cruise from Barrack Street jetty down to Fremantle, takes about 45 mins and very scenic. Fremantle is a great wee town to walk around and you need to pay a visit to Little Creatures. The Fringe Festival is on at the moment so lots of shows and street performers, we are going to see a Scottish commedian called Bruce Fumey on Saturday night but I think he is also doing other shows as part of the festival. If you had time then Margaret River is a great wine region, we hired a driver there for a few hours to take us around the wineries. worth staying a night over down that way. If you don't want to go so far then the Swan Valley is another wine region about 30 minutes from the city. Good things to do are: - Walk round Kings Park - Rottnest Island - The Pinnacles and Cervantes - Segway tours from Barrack Street jetty - Watch Perth Glory at the NIB stadium - Fishing Boat Harbour and Cappuccino Strip in Fremantle - Watch the dolphins and penguins on a boat tour at Penguin Island - Beaches - Cottelsoe, South Beach and Scarborough are good, I prefer Rockingham beach as not so much surf Good Pubs: - Lucky Shag - Rosie O' Grady's - Brass Monkey - The Aviary - The Moon and Sixpence - Flying Scotsman - Feral Brewery in the Swan Valley - Little Creatures Good eating places: - C Restuarant - revolving roof top restaurant with great views of the city - Print Room
