  1. Good to see Rodgers has gone with Burke tonight
  2. He's first choice striker at Sheffield Wednesday
  3. I'd still be tempted to stick with Fletch after those 2 great performances last time out but if Burke carries on or does even better then it's going to be a close call. The amount of pace between Burke, Fraser, Forrest & Christie means it could be our most exciting front line for years.
  4. Just watched Liverpool's goals and what a cracking pass by Robertson for their 2nd.
  5. He was approached by Mackay and he said he needed time to consider it. we don’t know if eck has even approached him since taking over. If he has and he wasn’t interested then fair enough, but until he publicly says he doesn’t want to play for us then I’d try get him involved
  6. I think he could play where Fletch did for the last 2 games. It wasn't like he was trying to get on the end of every chance, more just holding up the ball and bringing forrest, fraser & christie into play in the final third; something I think Harper would be capable of. The worry is that people will judge him solely on his goalscoring and not what he can bring to the team in terms of build up play.
  7. I think that's the big difference between our current side and ones of the past decade. We've had some equally good, if not better footballers in the past but at times it seemed like Anya was our only player with any pace and he wasn't necessarily the quickest compared to the likes of Fraser now. I think A. McGregor is probably the best he's ever been though I am starting to wonder who our next no 1 will be. Clark, Kelly & Bain all look alright but will any of them go on to be international quality?
  8. I reckon Ross McCrorie will go on to get a decent number of caps at some point; call ups for his versatility if nothing else.
  9. From watching bits of the Celtic games he's played in I'd say my only gripe is how selfish he can be. There's been quite a few times he's burst into the box from wide and instead of squaring to a team mate for an easy assist, he's tried to score from an impossible angle. Maybe he's to eager to showcase his talent but i'd like to see Rodgers coach him into being a more rounded team player as the lad clearly has a lot of potential
  10. £5 million seems an insult given what some centre backs are going for these days
  11. McBurnie scored another 2 tonight with Che Adama scoring in the same game
  12. Lewis Morgan close to agreeing a loan move to Sunderland
  13. Ayr's centre back Michael Rose has signed a pre contract agreement at Coventry. The Ayr manager reckons he's a future International. Anyone seen him play?
  14. Liam Henderson dropped back to the bench after starting the previous 2 games
  15. Spoke to some West Brom fans a few months back and they thought Burke was decent but just didn't suit Darren Moore's style of play so it was always going to be unlikely he'd give him a chance.
  16. He was approached when Malky was interim manager and he said he needed more time to consider it. Not sure if we’ve asked him since
  17. Southampton in talks to sign Che Adams
  18. Not surprised he's been offered a new contract despite them not having a permanent manager. Man Utd have said publicly that they're moving away from the manager having autonomy over the squad and clearly as a club they rate him. Haven't been on their forums but I live in Manchester and speak to several season ticket holders who all speak highly of him as he does offer something different to their flashier players. I think if, as reports suggest, Fellaini & Herrera move on after this season then he'll start to gradually get more game time.
  19. https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/sarll-one-most-natural-players-ive-ever-worked Well thought of in the Watford Academy as well it seems
  20. No point when there's McGregor, Armstrong, McGinn, Shinnie and McTominay who I'd pick before him
  21. If anything, with our current system Harper would better suit Christie's position as he seems to play off the striker as a number 10 and getting more assists than goals. Maybe in years to come it'll be Hornby up top with Harper behind him.
  22. I think the change of system hasn't helped. They started the season trying to play free flowing attacking football like they did before but their defence was shown to be a shambles. Now 2 separate managers have tried to swap systems around and sacrifice players in order to stop conceding goals
  23. Solksjaer has said in his press conference today he can't see McTominay getting loaned out as he needs the midfield cover. Just hope he starts getting more minutes
  24. A shame as he's done alright for them this season and I can't see them doing much better with Niasse or the lad theyre signing for £18million because he's hit double figures in the french league
