  1. There are several players that have been born outside of Scotland in our squad. I take it that you want McTominay and Tierney to never be picked again? Do you also believe that foreigners have no place in Scotland?
  2. It is a good article. The more articles and the more the media begins to take aim at the SFA (And the clubs) the better and the more chance of change. If we keep talking about it and chiming in and making a fuss over it, the media will pick up on it and the snowball effect will occur. This pretty much sums up how the SFA have always been: "The 1954 World Cup in Switzerland saw our first ever appearance at the finals, but it didn't go well. The SFA only budgeted for 13 players in the squad (when you were allowed 22), but took a full contingent of SFA officials and their wives."
  3. Yes. Look deeply into your genealogy. I'd be absolutely shocked if all you found was Scottish lineage, going back hundreds of years. We're all from the Homosapien gene pool. If you don't want to be a part of humanity then give Elon Musk a bell and ask his for a ride in his rocket. If not, deal with it. We're all human beings. We're all exactly alike. If you are one of those people who discriminates because of where a person was born then I feel sorry for you. Misogyny and racism from a UKip supporter, who would've thunk it.
  4. If Matic is fit, probably not. Ole has his favourites, Matic is definitely one of them.
  5. So, you don't believe the person with the most ability and the best capabilities should get the a job? It's all about gender? Does it also apply to race?
  6. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with a woman managing the men's team. If she knows her football, if she's a good organizer and a great motivator I'd have her in today.
  7. I think we all know what we want, but we haven't a clue what the SFA wants. They probably want to see McLeish's contract expire and appoint someone like Stuart McCall. I don't think so. People will see us get torn to shreds by Kazakhstan and struggle against the worst ranked team on planet Earth and they'll run a mile. If we have a good youth structure in place, if the SFA were organized and the whole of Scottish football was heading in the same direction then yes, I'm sure a decent manager would be interested... but Scottish football is imploding.
  8. I think we all want the best man for the job, no matter his nationality. I don't think it's a case of him talking his manager up, it's more of a case of a player being inspired by his manager. Maybe that's why he impoved WBA and is improving Kilmarnock, his ability to inspire and to engage players. He worked at Liverpool and Chelsea, those clubs don't employ token staff on the coaching side of things. I'd take Steve Clarke in a second! The problem we have isn't as superficial as who our manager is, though. I wish it was.
  9. Fine. Name a non Scot. Because I'm drawing a blank. I think if they didn't get rid of him he WBA would've been a permanent fixture in the top 8. I think you're underestimating him a little bit. Just a couple days ago one his Kilmarnock players said that he's so mesmerized by Clarke's training methods that's he's going to do his coaching badges. Clarke is obviously a man who can inspire others.
  10. I don't think I've read anything about the Scotland fans only wanting a Scottish manager. Steve Clarke finished 8th in the EPL with a team that belongs where they are right now, the Championship. Finishing 8th in a top league with a Championship level club is fantastic. He would've probably have gotten a job with top 6 club if he was from overseas.
  11. I think they are. If the attendances spike, and we stop buying merchandise, the SFA will ultimately begin to lose money. The media will get wind of the lowering attendances and they'll run with it. I mean, imagine if Hampden is half full when we play Cyprus, I don't think it would look good, especially with the fans that do attend expressing their anger.
  12. I'm not talking about clubs, or club football. I'm talking about international football. I hardly think a Hibs fan requires permission from their club to boycott Scotland matches. The clubs don't care anyway, for them to vote against the SFA would be like Turkeys voting for Christmas. They get what they want, at least in the SPL, they get 4 matches against the Old Firm. To hell with expanding the league and letting other clubs get a slice of the action. As long as they get their 8 matches against their big brothers, that's all that matters.
  13. The SFA and Alex McLeish work for us. We're their bosses. Nowhere in the world would it be acceptable for an employee to have an *episode* and the boss be completely in the dark over it. They don't have to undermine him, all they had to do was release a concise memo, they didn't have to reveal any secrets, but touching on the subject would've been nice.

    New kit

This template would be just fine: https://www.soccercorner.com/Adidas-Tango-Stadium-Icon-Track-Jacket-p/tj-adcg1797.htm Replace the black with Navy blue and the gray stripes with white (Unless it caused a conflict if we played England) and do away with the zip. This would be something new. I'd buy it tomorrow.
  15. Agree with everything you said. It's complete scandalous. Personally I'm still with the outright mutiny plan: a flat-out boycott of matches, both home and away. If people choose to attend matches, that's fine, they can contribute to our cause by taking banners and by voicing their discontent. Boycotting official merchandise, but it's fine to buy from third party places. I don't know about anyone else here, but I've had enough. The lack of a word said about Alex McLeish's *incident* is the straw that broke the camel's back. The SFA have NOTHING but contempt for us - it's been the case for umpteen generations of Scotland fans - and it's time we stood up as one and told them to fuck the hell off! This is our team, not theirs.
  16. That's great news. In fairness, McTominay had a stomach illness during those two matches, so he had the runs and McLeish probably didn't want to play him through the illness. If nothing else, it goes to show just how Scott McTominay is dedicated to playing for us, it's very much what Darren Fletcher did.
  17. I was actually going to say the same thing. The difference is that we care. We may not all like each other or agree all the time, but we all want what is best for the Scotland national team and the Scottish leagues. The SFA don't care. I know that it's easy to take aim at them, but they make it easy! What are they doing to improve the standards of the Scottish youth? What are they doing to improve the national team? What are they doing to improve the leagues? They've been sitting on their hands for decades now. They have done absolutely nothing of note. All they do is sit in their offices at Hampden, collect their wages and take us all for absolute mugs. The SFA just do not give SFA.
  18. I think I've seen an orange walk once. As far as the names and the dates and the songs go, I'm completely ignorant to it all.
  19. Be that as it may, the men struggle against the worst ranked international team on Earth.
  20. It would only be illegal if the player wasn't being paid a wage. In no law does it stipulate that a worker has to be paid a bonus. And we're talking about footballers here, it's not like they don't know where their next meal is coming from. In legal terms there wouldn't be a problem.
  21. Absolutely right. Are the SFA really going to scour the globe, though? I'm thinking no.
  22. The law isn't a footballing law. You don't get a mechanic earning a bonus for fixing an engine or a Chef winning bonus for making a stellar curry base.
  23. Not that I'm aware of. There's a freedom of movement law, not a freedom of a football team has to play them law. As long as they're being paid then it's totally above board and legal.
  24. He's transformed Kilmarnock to a team facing relegation, on a yearly basis, to one that's challenging for second and third. He managed WBA to their highest ever EPL league finish. As far as Scots go, he's head and shoulders above everyone. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to a foreign manager, though. You can't castigate us for mentioning Scots, though, as we're more aware of them than foreign managers. It's up to the SFA to find someone, anyone. But chances are they'll go for the easiest and cheapest option.
