  1. Always liked Morgan, remember seeing him for the first time in a Scotland - England under 21 game & he looked a bit special. His first touch & close control was outstanding, he give the English right back (think it might have been Alexander-Arnold) a testing night. I expected a lot more from him especially when he went on loan to Sunderland but he was pretty average. Like a lot of players it may have been a confidence thing & since going Stateside he has regained that & is fulfilling that potential. If Forrest doesn't make the Euro 26 i would take him as a alternative. Is he not classed as a Elite sportsman so exempt from quarantine or is that only for European based players?
  2. Yeh well summarised man. Definitely the keeper situation is a concern long term. Another young keeper maybe worth mentioning is 19 year old Harry Stone from Hearts. Read he is a intelligent lad & one of the best prospects to come through the academy in recent times. If there's any Hearts fans on this forum perhaps they could tell us more.
  3. Nice finish from him. I've changed my tune, fck Rooney for leaving Marshall out I'm now rooting for you & the SW tartan contingent though you need a favour from Cardiff.
  4. Marshall left on the bench for the massive relegation decider against Sheff Wed. A quick look at the Derby forum & they don't rate the chosen keeper at all, most would prefer Marshall was recalled. Though one fan does say Marshall has been dreadful since returning from injury in January. 4 Scots start for SW, Palmer, Paterson, Bannan & Rhodes. If Marshall was starting i would have been rooting for them for the sake of his confidence now i guess it doesn't matter..
  5. Which channel(s) ? I've got a Iptv box which should find it & would like to see him live.
  6. We will all be delighted when that extremely unlikely epl move for Dykes happens. I actually enjoy & agree with some of your posts but quite frankly I'm peed off & bored with having to read your endless bitter & resentful comments about 2 of our players (Armstrong & Adams) Its also disrespectful that you seem to think your the only person on this board intelligent enough to think trying 3 at the back might work.. Move on man ffs😬😬
  7. They aren't going to deny him the chance to play in a major competition. Arteta is smart enough to know the consequences of that.
  8. Just watched the Arteta interview on the Sun website. This is just a typical sensationalist headline from a trash tabloid. Arteta is just being cautious as he should with any injured player & stating the obvious there's no guarantees. He is out for 4 to 6 weeks, nothings changed..
  9. Not found a lot of info but it appears he started as a midfielder but has converted to centre back. No harm in keeping a eye out for the lad but let's not get excited until he at least starts making the celtic bench.
  10. Longer we wait for the results the more i fear the worst.. Losing Tierney would be devastating. It would be just our luck, having to play England again without such a key player. Big Dunc injured before Euro 96, Lambert losing his teeth the week before the play off for Euro 2000. Can't help thinking the results of this scan could determine our chances of creating history this summer.
  11. Reckon Palmer is the better defender & O'Donnell better offensively. Both limited & lucky we have such a loyal manager..
  12. I would like to think we don't need that terrier type player in all games though having seen the amount of freedom/ space to shoot or cross we gave our recent opponents maybe sadly we do! Ryan Jack playing may have reduced those chances but against better teams i worry he won't be enough.
  13. Yeh i like McKenna, he was doing very well at Nottm Forest prior to his injury. Another good season at that level & he could be a premier league defender.
  14. Yes your right it was Taylor who suggested Robertson playing in Midfield, i didn't like the idea but after some reflection thought the much more versatile Tierney could be worth a try in that key role. I'm pretty sure i posted a team with him in that position at the time. Tierney certainly has the strength, energy & game intelligence. Him & Jack together protecting or our centre backs against sides that are strong & dangerous in that area could work really well. For me Tierney technically he isn't a special player but in every other part of the game he is world class, could be our Roy Keane😊 We would miss his pace at that back though, i wouldn't want to encourage or give our defenders any excuse to play any deeper.
  15. The game in which the future could have been given their debuts, Gilmour, Turnbull, Gauld & Nathan Patterson in that order are all ready yet we get the same old.. Anyway it is what it is so at least it looks a positive 3-5-2 selection though would have preferred seeing Nisbet get his debut over Dykes.
  16. Tuned into the Dundee v Dunfermline game tonight hoping to see in particular Scott Banks for the first time. He only got on the last 20 mins but his quality stood out. Looked a balanced skillful player with a great delivery. The sfa should be doing their job by making this lad feel wanted & stop him potentially defecting to Wales.
  17. Pretty pleased with the team though i wish he wasn't so loyal to o'donnell. A lot of us where hoping Hendry even though plenty of us in me have never seen him kick a ball for oostende. Let's see if the lad has progressed into a confident elegant defender he looked like he could become.
  18. Definitely doesn't help. You can probably add Malky Mackay to that list. Hardly the most thrilling thought for a family with a dual nationality teenage son having the likes of him knocking on your door trying to persuade you your sons in good hands playing for us.
  19. The reality of the time we live.
  20. We should be much more disappointed when we lose out on lads who are born & bred here & choose to play for someone else. Recent examples are Harry Souttar & perhaps Scott Banks. I'll also be sad if we lose Elliot Anderson as he looks a player. Again though born down south so we have to respect his decision. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/elliot-anderson-lands-england-u19-20211797.amp
