Weird half. Scotland closing down well when the Czechs have the ball, but they are letting them have the ball a lot. Czech seems technically more gifted, but have also given away a lot of fouls compared to our boys. 0-0 seems about right so far.

Free kick was soft but understandable in this modern climate where having arms is a huge disadvantage to a footballer, however I felt a yellow was completely unwarranted.

His yellow was soft as fuck. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt us. Clearly won the header by jumping about two feet higher than his opponent who got caught by his leading arm. No malice, no elbow, totally natural body position. Only reason the San Marino lad got caught was because he was physically incapable of challenging for the ball.

I totally get what you're saying, but recently when Scotland actually win he's at the heart of it, and when we don't win he's absent, but so are the other 10 lads on the pitch. Not sure what Mikey Johnston can do to rectify that in his stead? I'm all for giving some young, hungry lads a chance, but I don't think it should e at the expense of one the handful of genuine quality players we have.

He's set up 3 of our 5 goals in this campaign, and also created more goalscoring chances than anyone in one of the world's best leagues last season. I'd give him more of a chance.

Could not believe how many times he was jumping a few yards under the bye kick. Rest of his game has been solid enough though.

They have played 7 matches and he has been on the park for 90 mins for 6 of them. The one where he didn't play is their only loss. Obviously correlation doesn't imply causation, but it at least shows he has been solidly involved so far this season and that they have faith in him.
