  1. Dude there's no need for the threats of violence here. I know there's some real wind-up merchants on here at times, and they can be a bit abrasive, but it's an internet forum and that's all. We're all here because we have one amazing thing in common. We support the Scotland national football team, and they actually won today! Let's celebrate and put all this agro behind us. What do you say? Vanderark14 you too mate. You did kind of come in strong on this lad's thread. Perhaps with some false assumptions? Wish I could have watched the game with you all in a pub today. I bet we would have all be hugging it out and cheering when Scotland scored! So let's try and treat each other on here a bit more like we would in the pub yeah?
  2. I did try actually. I got up to Gallagher. A lot of it was about the background of the players and their future potential. That's not your fault. I'm just really busy today. I'll go back and read in full later. Who would you say performed the best tonight though?
  3. Seriously though everyone, can't we just celebrate a Scotland win?! I didn't even get to watch or listen to any of it due to work. Who were our stand out performers?
  4. OK ok ok calm it down a bit lads. Just because Rscot writes a shitload of words it doesn't mean he's Chripper. They seem to have opposing views on many things from the bits I've read. If it were the same person it would be very worrying.
  5. Haha they also laughed at me when I slipped and fell on my arse on the muddy hill in school. Seriously though, I don't think Stewart is a ridiculous shout, but I would be tempted to put Hornby ahead of him in the pecking order.
  6. Ah! That's easier. Saturday, and he scored.
  7. I understand your viewpoint, and reluctance to get interested in the playoffs, but if we go along writing off important Scotland matches because we're afraid we won't win, then we should probably just stop supporting the team altogether. These players were given the chance of a playoff spot, and they took it. I think we should at least give them our support for those games now. You're almost certainly right that we won't win it, but there's a tangible chance we will, and if we do you'll be missing out on the party of the century! Why not employ Pascal's Wager here?
  8. UEFA Nations League last year, and I think he scored?
  9. I think we'll win the first one and lose the final. Out of interest, from your point of view why don't you think playing in these kind of high pressure competitive matches would be good for the squad in preparation for the World Cup qualifying campaign? Isn't it a win/win for both points of view? Better than a couple of random friendlies.

  11. That's good news about the goal. Hope to see him back before the New Year!
  12. I mean, I imagine the joke was that you have some mental health problems to recover from while McTominay recovers from his physical issues. Not very funny or cool I guess, but I'm just explaining it. No need to get touchy with me.
  13. I thought he was talking about you and McTominay?
  14. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but this article did give me a chuckle - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/scotland/50389854 The headline is that Dyer says the players who have pulled out are genuinely injured. Then later on in the article is says that Dyer does not know the details of their injuries hahaha.
  15. Good post. I was thinking even when I read the statement I out of context that was probably what he was meaning. Context is important!
  16. It's not easy to pick, but I think I'd go for something like this: Marshall Palmer Devlin McKenna Taylor Armstrong Jack McGregor McGinn Christie Naismith 1) No solid idea what shape to play those 5 midfielders in, but Jack sitting back and Christie in the hole behind Naismith would be a start. 2) I'm not convinced by Devlin, but given the options, starting McKenna's regular defensive partner next to him seems like a reasonable idea. 3) Naismith has to start and be given the captaincy for me. He's got great experience, loves playing for Scotland, and knows how to score for us. This young, underconfident, patchwork team needs someone like him on the pitch.
  17. Well, maybe if we're lucky the rest of the boys will turn up and show what it means to them. Best of luck to them! Cyprus away will be a test of a weakened team.
  18. The Liverpool Echo is reporting that it's not true - https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/ryan-fraser-liverpool-transfer-news-17240147
  19. I wonder if it will suddenly look better if we start winning a lot in it?
