  1. Football is a simple game. All of these 3251 or 54231 are crap. 442 and keep your shape. We have seen what the 3251 etc etc have done to us in the past. 442. A good stricking partnership and a solid team.
  2. I was. And he was right to say what he said. He was bitterly disappointed as a player and the pricks that were slating all the players got quickly told to shut up. I would have said the same if I were ferguson. No Scotland player goes out without trying. And he certainly did that day. But agendas on here are agendas. What demographic am I?
  3. Was Ian ferguson not playing for Scotland that day? I was standing next to the dickheads who were shouting utterly terrible abuse to the players. I told them myself to shut the fuck up. The same at parkhead when m allister was getting bood. But the word 'demographics' has now come in to play i see. And it all comes down to Ian gerguson being a rangers player. Were you at that game?
  4. I will never agree with playing 1 up front. Negative. Its a wonder Kenny Miller is still alive. Strikers play off each other and a good partnership up front is the way I think works. Dont want to bring rangers in to this but if you look at hately and mcoist. I just don't like the 1 up front formation.
  5. Agree to disagree montrose. If we are going out I want us to go out fighting. Not sitting back and hoping for a breakaway. We should be brave and play gilmour turn ull and Patterson. Sick of watching Scotland play negative football.
  6. Always prefer a 442 myself. More solid and easier to keep your shape when under pressure. Your team selection is good to although I would keep faith in dykes up front with Adams.
  7. Left the hebrides bar yesterday after the second. Been there too many times. A lot of young guys were on here at the weekend excited. Well now you know what it is like to be a Scotland supporter. It is fucking tough. I am not negative but we are out after one game. No cunt up front that is a natural scorer. Clarke should have gone for it with nothing to lose. Gilmour, Patterson and turnbull. He went far too defensive.
  8. Brilliant pal. Heading to McDonalds for a breakfast then up to Edinburgh for game.
  9. Where are people watching game? I was going to watch it in the Borders but going up to meet a couple of old friends in the Hebrides Bar. Don't know if we will need to book a table but will phone Colin the owner at 11 to double czech (see what I did there?).
  10. Understood. Excited as hell btw.
  11. What about me ya selfish bassa?
  12. Glad I am not at school now. Took early retirement and starting a business soon. Enjoy your day anyway!!
  13. I honestly have a tear in my eye just now after reading all the comments. Emotional as a well. Thinking of great times in the past. Wish I was going to Hampden but the people that have tickets will deserve them. Here is to my big mate Pete from the Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore. You could always here a roar from his room abroad. IIIIIIIIITS MAAAAAAAATCHDAY. Here's to you Big Pete.
  14. It's a no from me except one obviously.
  15. We both love our club sides Ramy. But Scotland means more to me than i can say. High above this land that I love is the flag that is dearest to me. May the banners fly, in a Scottish sky. Scotland oh Scotand Forever. Hopefully we can all enjoy the match and get a good result. So stand on 👉
  16. Christ, who are you teaching? PHD students???
  17. Not preparing for doom, but as we all know we get our hopes built up very easily. I am still scarred afetr going to the Costa Rica game in 1990. And then we pulled it out of the bag against Sweden which was the best game and atmosphere of my life. But still failed against Brazil. I hope we don't meet Brazil until the final this month 🤪
  18. Forgot all about them. We always had one at work in the staffroom. £1 a go!! Buzzing for tomorrow but still got a bit of the doom part in my stomach. We all need to be prepared for the doom!! It's in our blood. But I think we will win. Scotland Forever.
  19. Agree with all of this. Listened to BBC Sportsound yesterday and everyone is trying to guess the team. Great stuff. A draw wouldn't be a disaster but the they are in the same boat as us. They want a win too. I will be praying for a win tomorrow. Just good to be back at the top table.
  20. Never watched the game live and didn't find out until this morning. Very emotional stuff. Hope he recovers well and plays again.
  21. Scotland not fallen from me.or any of my pals. Rangers and Scotland always kid.
  22. U just reminded me of a funny story. In Prague walking down to the game along with the ta march. This Scottish guy had hired a three wheel motorbike along with the hat. Me, being a prick shouted wheres Clyde. He replied second bottom and drove on. I met him on a couple of trips later on and we always had a laugh about it.
  23. Canny believe I have my mojo back for Scotland. Canny wait till Monday Big screen on Monday in borders and off to Rothesay to watch the England game for a couple of nights with my mate. Xmon Scotland.
  24. I do watch the games but never knew he started that many. My point is if taverneir is fit he won't get much game time.
  25. Oh. Sorry. Rangers are also the only club in the world that borrows. You have me there.
