We could and should have been four points better off and almost out of site as winners or runners up in the group, the home game against Lithuania, and hate to say it but the injury time goal v England. But hey this is Scotland and we do it the hard way every time we try to qualify so lets hope we can beat Slovakia and then all to play for in the final match.

One thing is for sure when we play Slovakia...tickets will not be £17 as they will be expecting a near sell out. I also paid £36 as I joined Scotland supporters club. I would like to know what the hell is going on with the pricing. Apart from that I hope Snodgrass finds some form as Phillips is not up to it and Forest not much better. I see Scott Brown getting some pelters but would anyone leave him out of the next games ?.

Stilk think we would have needed 2 wins in last two games to make sure we were not the lowest second placed team. Was disappointed in lack of urgency to get more goals after going 1-0 up early on.

As expected same team tonight v Malta. Hoping we can get a couple of goals in the first half so Brown does not need to play 90 minutes(in case he gets booked) Hopefully Fraser may get a run out at some stage.

1-0, now that is Grim Jim. If we can go ahead in first 15- 20 minutes I would expect 3-0 at least

Yes I agree if we go a couple up, get Brown off. We really need him for the Slovakia game and hopefully if we are in contention for second spot for the final game as well. In fact I would I would almost be tempted not to play him but I think the same team that beat Lithuania deserves to start again. He does get booked a lot, but I think a lot of it is down to his competitive nature, but he is a very important player for us.

How or why will Brown be missing for one of our last games?

For the good of Scotland i really hope England win on Monday. Yes we have made it hard for ourselves but in the last few games you can see how much it means to the players and manager. If results go our way on Monday then the home game v Slovakia is a huge one.

Best away performance for many years, though nothing changed...still got to win last 3 games. Would like to think Malta game will take care of it self, but we still need to put in a decent shift. Let's hope England don't fluff there lines against Slovakia then it is all to play for. Have criticised Strachan like many on here have in the past but at last he looks like getting us back on track whether we finish second or not. In Tierney and Robertson we have the best full backs we have had in years, the centre of defence will always be a bit of a problem but saying that we kept a clean sheet. We certainly never missed Snodgrass and Anya although would love to see Snodgrass getting back to form again now that he is away from West Ham. Roll On Monday

Of course we need to win and the players know it, so dont know why Strachan comes out with such quotes. Lets remember this lot held us to a draw at Hampden so it will not be easy, but 3 points is a must and the Malta game should take of itself. If we do this then we can look at the table and know exactly what we need to do in the final two games.

Being based down in Nottingham i have seen him play alot more times than you have. He has power, pace and not scared to take a defender on He also scored a good few goals at Forest. Now what are you basing your opinion that he is only fast on ? Half a game against Lithuania?

I am basing it on that as I am based near Nottingham i have seen Burke alot more times than you have and he can beat his man, dribble and score goals. Why do u think he went for around 15 million. Now tell me what are you basing your opinion that Burke is only fast on??

Matter of opinion. Tierney is very good, but Burke has loads of potential.

Is James Morrison injured ? Not that I am that bothered, but strange he started England game and now is out all together. Hope Snodgrass gets his club form back or gets a move as he not the same since joining West Ham. Oliver Burke so needs to go out on loan and play on a regular basis as I reckon he is the best young player we have by a long way.
