  1. Prices have went down vs last campaign. But excuse me if I let facts get in the way of your hysterics.
  2. Vocally, but I refer you to my previous comments on this 'Currently, it's hard to support the team when your surrounded by folk booing, moaning and passionately NOT 'celebrating failure'. A singing section where like-minded individuals can stand together and vocally support the team is sure to bring a bit more atmosphere into the stadium' Should probably be a better atmosphere this time round, given most of the problem seem to be involved in some kind of protest.
  3. I think being in the squad recently is very relevant. Given the choice between two players of similar quality, I'd sooner go with the one who had recently trained with the team, before one that had not. Wallace and Shinnie are there or thereabouts, so it'd be far from the worst decision in the world to start Wallace. I'd much rather have Tierney, but God hates us.
  4. Yes. Based on a few efforts in the past, I think this is doable and a definite winner. 'Shake it up baby' also fired up well when it was in fashion. No reason why that can't be dusted off. A chant or two reminding them of 'big sam' and Iceland would also do nicely.
  5. Did the price not go down quite a bit from last campaign?
  6. Yes,a singing section is good idea. And I think you meant singing section rather than an 'ultra' type set-up. Currently, it's hard to support the team when your surrounded by folk booing, moaning and passionately NOT 'celebrating failure'. A section where like-minded individuals can stand together and vocally support the team is sure to bring a bit more atmosphere into the stadium (it's certainly hard to make it worse). And if it results in a place where fans can be both happy and clapping. At the very least you'll have enraged the elite, who would rather you kill your dog than sing a song when a goal behind.
  7. Unacceptable. The level of personal abuse dished out by 5-6 regular posters towards anybody who doesn't share their khuntish and negative views is out of order.
  8. If we win on Tuesday I think we'll finish 2nd. If not, probably 3rd/4th.
  9. 100% Spot On. Embarrassing listening to all this greeting.
  10. We did though. Stop being hysterical. We won, created plenty of chances and should have scored more.
  11. Incorrect. We played well, created plenty of chances and should have scored more. We won as well. It was a satisfactory, if not accomplished, performance.
  12. This should be framed as the quintessential Scottish slant. It's like nostalgia's evil cousin. If there is bleakness and misery in any story...WE WILL FIND IT! The home game against Georgia was one of the most reassured performances from us that I've seen! If the 3-2 against Germany was flattering us, then the 1-0 vs Georgia was definitely flattering them! And vs Poland did we not also come back twice from a losing position...? The truth is that there was lots of good in the campaign (we were definitely singing 'we're gonna qualify' in Ireland...for about an hour) and bad as well. But you've decided to focus only on the negatives and spin everything in the worst possible way. Which is fine but I thought your motto was, 'Stop talking about who's to blame when all that counts is how to change'!
  13. I don't think my post was trying to argue that we were unlucky? Re-written history and missed out matches where we rode our luck? I explicitly called out Ireland away as a poor performance, so I don't know what you're talking about. I disagree with your assessment of our matches vs Germany, I think we competed over the two legs. Honestly, the only match I can remember where we haven't managed a goal was Georgia away. As I said, we need to improve and strengthen the squad going into the next campaign. But I think it's a bit hysterical to be calling for the manager's head and wholesale changes to the team.
  14. Couldn't agree more. Strong performances throughout the campaign, with Georgia and Ireland away being exceptions. Overall, 4 points from Ireland, unlucky not to take 4pts from Poland and pushed the World Champions all the way in both matches. It was a tough group and one bad result cost us a play-off spot. Since then, we have played two friendlies against teams similar to those we need to beat in the WC qualifiers. And won them both. Having come so close in the EuroQ, it's a bit daft to say 'we need to change the manager and bring in a completely new team!!!'. We do need to improve to qualify, but not nearly as much as some people on here think.
