  1. Stuart McCall back from his hiatus down govan way. I for one think it's great to see him back as everything was working well whilst he was part of the coaching team. Pity he nearly relegated Well whilst doing it, but also kept them up. If it ain't broke don't fix it and he was part of the team than performed so well in the games last year and can only hope in continues
  2. Was too afraid to tempt fate....
  3. Head says take a draw, heart says go for the win. Pessimistic, half empty soul says we'll likely lose.
  4. Currently looking for a potential career change myself. Need to dig up some references before submitting my application to FIFA. any idea when the deadline is?
  5. Few nice wee places down round about the Trevi fountain. Can't mind any names mind you .....
  6. If we keep pulling at this thread we'll end up with another boozegate scenario from the Netherlands quali circa 2009. And don't need any of that bad press in the build up to Dublin I myself have had my flights to Dublin booked since directly after the Germany game in September so I find it odd that a professional footballer couldn't find another flight and time of the year to have his stag do. Just hope that he doesn't let himself but more importantly the rest of the team down, that's all that really matters.
  7. Love Andy more than life itself and totally agree that it shows that those who stay dry throughout the season whither it be football or tennis, have better fitness and concentration levels. Think Pirlo and Buffon have been out on the Wazz in the build up to the champions league final this weekend?
  8. As said on BBC last night by member of Tartan Army. Going to support the team the week before one of the biggest, if not the biggest, game this century in Ireland. If there's a protest to do with holding up red cards, or banners or "Sepp Blatter, you're a W@nk€r!!" Chant I'll do my bit but supporting the boys in Dark Blue is what I'm there to do.
  9. No you're right good Sir, they won't care. But if I dance about with my flag I might get on the tele The atmosphere was amazing at glasgow and I think will be not nearly as good in Queens club. Less seats, open air court and less passionate crowd will see to that.
  10. Got mine Saturday. Had a wee smile to myself as I've just moved and it's the first Scotland tkts I've had delivered to the new place. Simple things, simple minds and all that I know but made me happy
  11. Good old Kenny "second touch is a tackle" Miller had one of his horror shows that day too if I rememeber. He had some solid games and some tremendous games "England Away, Norway Away same qualifying campaign" but the Belarus home game was not one of them.
  12. There were significant amount of Elmer phuds with union flags doted about the arena but also fair amount of saltires. Especially when Andy was playing. Any way..... point was want tickets to the next round just to noise up all the poshos down in London and fly my saltire high and proud to support Andy, and need tickets asap
  13. Anyone looking to buy Davis Cup tickets for the tie against France in July and received they're code? Or better yet, bought tickets for the previous tie or a tennis club member and not using their code sent to them in the newsletter. Tennis isn't everyone's cup of tea and he Union Flag fest will be almost too much to handle but my boy Andy is there and can't miss another chance to see him.
  14. In section 502 as well. Duo tickets and already flogged the england friendly ones to Irish fans in Beligum of all places!!
  15. Anyone know If there's a limit to how many tkts you can buy per booking on the ticket master sale. I'm Guessing just 2 but confirmation would be cool
  16. Aye the whole sentimental thing isn't WGS's MO either normally so can't see it happening. He was the only one who could single handed win games for us in the late Noughties and deserved a spot at a finals. Obviously not happening now but deserves a spot in history among the greats.
  17. Right in saying Faddy on 49 caps? Surely a wee call for our next friendly against a team like the Faroes or Estonia could happen so he gets his 50 and deserved place in Hall of Fame.
  18. Was the gold Keeper kit as well. Not normally one of those "full kit w***ers" who buy every kit including the goalie's kit, but was tempted at that time
  19. Think this could go the same way as Hibs' efforts to stay up last year. Win at Ibrox comfortably on Wed, say 2-0 or 3-1 then balls it up at Easter road and it goes to a PK situation.
  20. When I'm asked what's the best atmosphere I've been in, my answer is the same as most gutted result and its also Italy 2007. Was in single digits during 1996 and only just in double digits by 1998 so gutted but didn't really hit home. Will never forget the noise when we equalised and "doe a deer" circulating the stadium over and over and over again. Tears were shed at the final whistle and en route to mount florida. Missed work the next day funnily enough too...
  21. Bought the away 'Volume meter that has been turned up to the max' top specifically because i assumed they'd be wearing it for Dublin away.
  22. Aye, got duo tkts today as well. Time now too flog the friendly against the inbreds
  23. 2013 Nothing too exciting on the fitba sense but a proud Son of Scotland, Mr Andrew Barron Murray, went and won Wimbledon that year
  24. Train to Glasgow from up north then fly out Friday evening. Got double header tickets with the friendly the Irish are playing against "them lot who's sister is their mother" from below hadrian's wall. Sitting in 502, Yet to sell them on but all in Good time. Return Sunday evening to Glasgow and back up the road for work again on Monday morning sharp at 8:15 am!!!

    Kilts

Very superstitious soul that I am, wore converse with my kilt to Croatia match, then england friendly at Wembley, then all games since and seem to be on a bit of a streak. Granted not won every game, particularly both the England friendlies, so I don't have a 100% record with my lucky converse but the atmosphere in London coupled with the night time frivoloties after in the hostel I stayed in mean I'll continue to wear them for luck, (touch wood)! this despite the grief I got from some elite members after the Ireland game
