€600 isn’t a lot of money to some people. It will price a lot of people who can’t get cheaper tickets out of going right enough which is really not in the spirit of football. The opening game will sell out easily though so UEFA will claim the pricing is fair.

Loyalty points are to guarantee tickets not cheaper tickets. Your point is valid to be fair but UEFA will want the tickets shifted as quickly as possible so I doubt the SFA has much of a choice.

The SSC allocation will sell out easily enough and the Munich fan zone will also be full of Scots. There will be lots of people on 11 and 10 points who will happily (well happily might be a bit strong 😂) pay €400 or €600 for a ticket for the Germany game.

There will be a fair few people on 12 points or more (especially any 12 pointers who only go to home games) who won’t be going to Germany next year at all and a fair few folk who might only go to 2 of the matches. Hard to put a figure on it but I would guess that the vast majority (if not everyone) of people who log on at 12 tomorrow to buy tickets will pay €195 at the most for Munich and €60 at the most for the other 2 games.

Even €195 is ridiculous for a game of football. In a few years when I think back on us pumping the hosts in the opening game I won’t be thinking about what I paid for my ticket though.

Cat 1 tickets for the final are a grand. That’s obscene. Luckily we won’t need to worry about going to that game. 😂

Vast majority will pay €195 at the most for the opening game tomorrow. Anyone on 11 points waiting for the sale the next day will be looking at €400 at best.

SFA website was down late last night so I assume they were running a script for the emails and they will be sent today. I think I got mine pretty much 24 hours before the sale for Euro 2020 tickets opened so I assume they will start sending them at around noon today if they follow the same plan this time.

It was more the stability of the app I was meaning. Even the sky channel isn’t great quality.

I’m pretty sure it’s all done by computer these days. I don’t think any team gets to choose their kick off times. It’s all done for TV.

Yeah absolutely but my point was home advantage isn’t the be all and end all. If the home team always won there would be no point playing football at all. Having said that the current playoff system could be fairer but there isn’t enough international dates available for home and away ties.

Aye fair point but home advantage isn’t everything. Our victory in Oslo would have been a better example.

We are missing a lot of players as well and we don’t really have anything to play for either so those odds don’t surprise me. I do think we’ll win though. Hampden will be bouncing and if we get off to a good start and maybe get an early goal I think it will only go one way.

Playing away in Serbia didn’t hurt us and playing Ukraine at Hampden didn’t help us.

I’d be surprised if he was still at Hearts in January. He’ll be at Rangers or possibly an English championship team before too long anyway. I don’t think he’ll ever be our first pick striker but it would be good to see how he does against a decent team like Norway if he’s given more than a 5/10 minute cameo. I think he’d be a decent player to come off the bench in future games to join Dykes or Adams rather than replace them if we are a goal down with 20 minutes to go but if I was Clarke I’d give him at least a half tomorrow.

It’s also unreal that they still have a slim chance of qualifying automatically given how poor they’ve been through the group. Obviously taking 4 points off Croatia has kept them in it but they have been very poor in the rest of their games from what I have seen. Croatia can consider themselves very lucky that automatic qualification is in their own hands.

I don’t think Clarke was experimenting against Georgia I think he just felt he had to play with a back 4 with the players he had available. If Tierney, Robertson and Hickey had been fit I have no doubt Clarke would have played with his usual back 3. If Clarke is going to experiment with his formation (the defence anyway) he’ll really need to wait until our injured players are back to see if it will work with them in the team but I will be shocked if we go into the Euros with a different formation from the one that got us there.

Haven’t we been tested enough recently by the best in the business? Could be doing with an easy game 😂 If we needed something from tomorrow’s game him being out would be great news but it makes very little difference now. I suppose it makes a dead rubber slightly less interesting.

It’s my opinion and I’m not going to change it because you think your opinion is better. Hardly “doubling down”. In my opinion I think Dykes should have been replaced earlier. If you don’t agree that’s fair enough but that’s what I think.

Yes but why leave it so late to bring Shankland on? We needed at least 1 goal to get something from the game with over half an hour to go. Clarke obviously trusted Dykes to get that goal but a blind man could see Dykes wasn’t having a good game. Like I said earlier I can’t be too critical because he brought Shankland on and he scored but giving a striker 5 minutes (unless you are replacing an injured striker or something) to show what he can do is usually pointless.

Yeah I would agree with that. I wouldn’t actually mind if he was given a start but I assume Clarke will go with Dykes again.

If we had lost in Oslo, which we could so easily have done, we would be at least needing a draw on Sunday and we would all be getting very nervous round about now. I must admit I would be looking forward to the Norway game more if something was riding on it (except the possibility of pot 2 which won’t be much of an advantage over pot 3) but obviously I’m glad we don’t need anything from the game.

If I have any criticism of Clarke from Thursday it would have been taking too long to replace Dykes. I’m not a big fan of giving a striker 5 minutes to try and make an impression. Can’t be too critical as Shankland got his goal but could he have grabbed 2 if he came on earlier? We’ll never know.
