  1. I don’t fancy their bellend purple way top. I actually thought our top looked decent when I saw it in action last night.
  2. Has been going on for years and will continue to happen until they put something in place which completely eradicates it. I pretty much manage to get to every away match I want to (and can afford to) without harvesting so the daft bastards are wasting money to guarantee first refusal for tickets to matches in tiny stadiums. You should have slyly found out his name and shopped him to the SSC. 😂
  3. It’s 6 games without a win against England, France, Spain, Netherlands, Georgia away (where we have never won and never even took a point previously) and a decent Norway team in a dead rubber. If it was 6 competitive games without a win against lower ranked teams then I could see the point of being concerned. If we win our next 3 friendlies are those people who were booing last night going to suddenly think we are going to win Euro 2024 because we have beaten 2 mediocre teams and a poor one? I’d rather be losing friendlies against top ranked teams just now than be losing games that actually matter in June.
  4. If it wasn’t a friendly last night Clarke would not have made the changes he did. We were the better team until the subs were made albeit we were losing. On another night we could easily have scored 3 or 4 goals against a good team. If the game had finished 4-4 I don’t think anyone would have been moaning about Clarke. If we lose on Tuesday night that will be much more of a concern for me than a late collapse against the Dutch away from home. A comfortable win and good performance against NI and last night’s game can be forgotten about.
  5. He probably decided to keep quiet in case the England call up never came. Will be interesting to see what happens if he doesn’t play a competitive game for England and comes crawling to us in a few years.
  6. Getting into Hampden has been a farce since they brought in the automatic turnstiles. Tuesday won’t be any different but hopefully it won’t be worse. At least there won’t be people trying to do some sort of drunk origami with A4 sized tickets they have printed off.
  7. Who started that? Gary Lineker?
  8. I turned my WiFi and mobile data off and can still access my ticket for the NI game. Presumably this will still be the case when the QR codes are available on the day of the game. I’m not saying using phones is necessarily easier but I don’t think it make things more difficult (assuming the app is stable and everything goes OK on match days). Giving people the option to print from the app would probably have been the best solution I suppose.
  9. Does the app do that? Surely you get the choice of an email? Not sure about electricity but since everyone has their face stuck in their phones constantly I don’t think it would make a difference. Regardless of any of that the paperless tickets are here to stay so I think we just need to accept it. Having said that there is apparently an option for anyone who doesn’t have a smartphone so I guess you could just tell the SSC you don’t have one and go down that route?
  10. I actually prefer electronic tickets. No chance of losing them and if you are daft enough (or unlucky enough) to lose your phone you can log in someone else’s It’s also much better for the environment if you care about that sort of thing. I might change my mind if the app goes tits up a week on Tuesday…….
  11. I’m not suggesting the system is perfect but I don’t think this is an issue anyone can complain about. There can’t be many 11-13 year olds who don’t already have an email address. They are also free and easy to set up for anyone who doesn’t have one.
  12. An extra tenner for that. Or slightly less than a tenner with the discount I suppose.
  13. I think all 4 games are on Viaplay. Netherlands and NI games certainly are. Presumably BBC Scotland have struck some sort of deal with Viaplay to show the home games.
  14. Clearly it wasn’t done on purpose. Some sort of technical balls up.
  15. My points were wrong just before the sale for Euro 2020 and they hadn’t even moved to a new system then.
  16. So preventing non-members from buying tickets and potentially getting Euros tickets ahead of other members who had attended more games? Classy guys.
  17. Would be a bit of a risk to spend a lot of money travelling in the hope that you are not asked for ID at the pick up.
  18. Why would that be a good idea? The SSC isn’t just a travel club anymore. I think members should be rewarded for going to home games as well as away games. Away games are worth double the points and rightly so but dragging your arse along to Hampden (often from the highlands, England or even further) on a wet Tuesday night in November has to be worth something surely?
  19. There has to be something which awards recent loyalty I think so moving away from points dropping off is unlikely to happen. You’d get guys who haven’t been to games for ages swooping in and hoovering up finals tickets (assuming we continue to qualify now and again) when they haven’t been to any qualifiers, potentially for several years. The way it works at the moment is probably the fairest way to do it. It won’t suit everyone but no matter how something like this is run you can’t please everyone.
  20. What would be the point in a loyalty system if the most loyal start to get disadvantaged by being awarded fewer points than some people who barely bother their arse going to games? The fact is that the people with the most disposable income, free time and the desire to go to away games will be able to go to as many as they like when others will not be able to do so. That is just the way life works I’m afraid. Luckily it’s not actually that difficult to get tickets for most away games unless you have zero points and if that’s the case why are you wanting to go to an away game if you haven’t been to any games in a couple of years? If you have enough money and time it’s pretty easy to build up your points total. If you don’t have enough money to do that then going abroad to watch Scotland play regularly probably isn’t that high on your list of priorities.
  21. I could be wrong as I have bought the available package for the last few campaigns but I don’t think this has been the case for several years.
  22. I doubt the system at Hampden is smart enough to record whether a ticket is actually used or not. I haven’t seen anything official stating this is going to be the case either. And what happens if the scanners go down and stewards need to check our phones manually to let us in?
  23. I think the only option would be to let the person you give the ticket to your login details for the ticket app.
