  1. How dare you, sir. 😂
  2. Don’t you mention the World Cup as well? Sorry, my mistake.
  3. Of course. Saturday football is best for most folk. We did just have a Saturday game of course, just a pity it was away. Hopefully we’ll have at least one Saturday afternooon game at Hampden in the next campaign.
  4. I really don’t know if there’s any truth to it at all. Just something I’ve heard from a couple of different people.
  5. Tuesday night is a normal night for international football though. We’ve been playing on Tuesday/Wednesday nights for as far back as I’ve been going to Scotland games and that is many, many years. Not ideal for people who don’t live near Glasgow obviously but it can’t really be helped.
  6. I didn’t jump all over it. I just haven’t heard anyone use that cringey patter for a while. It was funny 6 years ago. I was actually agreeing with your post if you would care to read it again. I was just saying that Paterson was exposed against Grezda because of the early booking and there was a real danger of him getting sent off and there was no real option to replace him. If it wasn’t for the booking he wouldn’t have been so hesitant which made Grezda look better than he is. Ok, McLeish could have put Hendry on at RB but Grezda would have destroyed him and McLeish would have been vilified for it.
  7. Would definitely have been less than 20k if we had lost last night I think. I’m hoping for at least 25k now but who knows? There still seems to be some ignorance surrounding the importance of this match and of course there’s the general apathy over the national team at the moment and the usual grumbling about ticket prices.
  8. If you’re going to act like a bawbag I’m happy enough to call you one. As for being intellectually challenged, you’re the one that suggested playing Jack Hendry at right back. That has to be one of the daftest suggestions I’ve seen on here.
  9. Yes, you do. You mention it at least once a day.
  10. Hendry at right back is a terrifying prospect. You haven’t cleared anything up for me ya patronising bawbag.
  11. Sevco? You still using that pish patter? The main problem with Paterson was the early booking which meant he couldn’t really risk anything. Grezda should have been booked for diving when he tried to get Paterson sent off. Under normal circumstances the manager could have put someone else at right back after the booking but obviously that wasn’t an option last night. I can’t remember who plays on the left for Israel but I do remember O’Donnell being badly exposed a few times in Haifa. Hopefully that won’t happen to Paterson on Tuesday night
  12. It’s fairly simple. A win on Tuesday. Even UEFA could grasp that. 😂
  13. I’m perfectly calm mate. My post maybe seemed a bit more aggressive than I intended. 😂 I’m just confused by the number of people who don’t seem to know what we need to win our group.
  14. You’re not the first person to mention it to be fair as they were talking about it on Radio Scotland. It would have been the case if we had lost 1-0 last night.
  15. How on earth could that be the case? Have you seen the group? We are currently on 6 points as are Israel. If we beat Israel we will have 9 points and they will have 6. The score could be 25-24 to us and we would still win the group.
  16. I don’t think there are any restrictions on who we could get in the qualifiers other than we can only get one other host country in our group. If Israel beat us on Tuesday and then qualify outright next year we wouldn’t be guaranteed their play off spot anyway. It would go to the highest ranked team (based on final Nations League positions) who didn’t qualify and who didn’t win their NL group. That might well be us but it might not. I would be astounded if Israel got anywhere near second place in their group next year in any case. There is also a good chance that we’ll both be in pot 3 which would prevent us from being drawn together anyway.
  17. He’s probably a mouthy twat that pisses people off. Plenty of them about. A head butt is a bit harsh as a response though. Still, it worked out well for us last night.
  18. He didn’t withdraw because of injury. He withdrew so he could play against Wycombe. McLeish agreed it with Jack Ross as McLaughlin was third choice and wouldn’t have played anyway. I think it was initially agreed before Gordon pulled out but it was too late to go back on it.
  19. I remember him saying during the tournament we were by far the worst team at France 98. I mean, he may have had a point but when you consider Saudi Arabia and Iran were there and we competed with Brazil for most of the opening match and played quite well against Norway it wasn’t necessarily true and there was no need to say it the way he did. He always was a bit of a bellend though.
  20. He has 10 goals for Scotland but he scored 1 of them before 2010. He would actually only need a double then to have 11 goals this decade. I forgot he scored against Malta so I thought he only had 8 this decade.
  21. I did say it was from memory. Since my memory is shite I don’t think I did too badly. 😂
  22. From memory these were the games: Spain 2010 Denmark 2011 USA 2012 Australia 2012 Nigeria 2014 Georgia 2016 Ireland 2016 Germany 2016 Slovakia 2017 Albania 2018 Four of those games were friendlies. I think we have played 75 games since the start of 2010. Is 10 OGs in 75 games a lot? I can’t really decide. A hat-trick for Fletcher on Tuesday and he’ll have 11 goals since 2010 anyway. 😂
  23. Yes but all the physios would be with the squad. He would probably have travelled if he was a possibility for Tuesday to integrate with the squad. It’s irrelevant anyway since he’s definitely out for Tuesday anyway unfortunately. There’s nothing major wrong with him. He had tight calf muscles apparently and Celtic didn’t want him to risk injury playing for Scotland. That will still be the case on Tuesday. He’ll play in Celtic’s next match though.
  24. He is. He returned to Celtic on Thursday. If he was a possibility for Tuesday he would have travelled to Albania with the squad.
  25. The main problem in Haifa for me was the fact that we effectively had 3 in midfield as Israel had a right go at us, especially after the sending off, and pinned our back 3 and the 2 wing backs back. Our midfield was overrun. If we had 5 in midfield, as we did last night, that would not have happened and we may have got a draw in Haifa. I can’t see Israel beating us on Tuesday but it will be up to us to take the game to them and show them we are better than we were in Israel. Hopefully we get a decent crowd now and we can try and make some noise and frighten the shite out of them.
