If we draw in Georgia a one goal defeat would likely do unless Norway hammer Spain and improve their goal difference.

😂😂😂 Unless he plays Robertson on the right again and McTominay in goal and we lose 15-0 it would take a special kind of idiot to want him sacked after this game. I am fully expecting to lose tonight. Not because I think we are shite or anything but most teams would struggle to get anything in Spain if the Spanish play anywhere near their best and I suspect they will be out to prove a point against us. Anything other than a defeat would be a huge bonus. If Spain don’t play well and we do then we can definitely take something but I think it’s pretty unlikely.

We should be trying to get at least a point from this game regardless of how close we are to the final whistle.

I have no interest in who might be in the playoffs at the moment. I might have a sneaky peak if we lose tomorrow and Norway beat Spain on Sunday though.

Getting a result tomorrow isn’t impossible but it will obviously be very difficult. Looking at their results over the last couple of years they have drawn with Greece and lost to Switzerland at home so there is some hope there. We will need to have a very good game and maybe have some luck as well but anything is possible. That includes Spain giving us a right doing unfortunately but hopefully that won’t happen.

If we lose tomorrow night we will qualify on Sunday if Norway fail to beat Spain.

I think the English were worried they wouldn’t get it on their own after the trouble at Wembley at the Euro 2020 final so they roped the rest of us in.

😂😂😂 Well aye the ideal situation is we win tomorrow and Norway win on Sunday and we’ll have the group won with 2 games to spare. Anyone who genuinely thinks that will happen needs to lay off the drugs though. I am assuming Spain are going to beat us tomorrow as any other result is very unlikely but yeah if we get a point tomorrow I’ll be cheering on Norway on Sunday.

A draw in that game would be the best result for us. Would be pretty nervy towards the end right enough so I would happily take 0-5 to Spain at half time right now.

Yeah I suppose it has a different meaning depending on the country. We can’t really be too fussy these days unfortunately. Who needs strikers when our midfield scores so many goals though? 😂

Whatever that means. At least half of all international teams are absolute bollocks so at least 50% of international footballers probably aren’t ‘international standard’. Dykes might not be a fantastic player but he is (arguably) our best striker although I would say that Shankland is a better finisher.

The only thing I would add to the discussion is although a draw against Spain would guarantee qualification a draw in Georgia would not if we lose to Spain and Spain lose to Norway. We would very likely need to beat Georgia to guarantee qualification before Haaland and his mates come to Hampden in November. A draw in Georgia should mean a single goal defeat to Norway would see us qualify on goal difference assuming Spain win the group and Norway don’t overhaul our superior GD. Avoiding an absolute doing in Spain on Thursday could be very important for us. I’m away for a lie down in a dark room after trying to figure that out.

Depends what you mean by upgrade. Screens and lights were upgraded and automatic turnstiles were brought in for Euro 2020. Not exactly fantastic I’ll grant you but I bet the SFA would argue it was an upgrade. I wonder what they’ll do for Euro 2028? Fix the bent trough in the bogs in the West Stand maybe? 😂

Amazed is maybe a bit strong for me but yeah I would agree we are unlikely to get anything. The same thing was said by many people before we beat Spain in March though. Paris 2007 as well. You just never know.
