  1. Just make sure you do stay away from EE......truly awful. Signed up when I was hungover and worst mistake I made. Speed is appaling and 1mb or under when we do a line test. Virgin and sky appear to be the cheapest when tying in with tv.
  2. For Asian food TAO is good, huge inside and busy, just off central park. Tribeca Grill is good but pricey. It's owned by Robert deniro.
  3. 4 of us from greenock! Saturday to Wednesday
  4. Excluding the Gibraltar games where we will take 6 points and the Germany game where anything is a bonus then the 4 things we need to happen are to finish 2nd. - no team to take 6 points in the Poland v Ireland games. - avoid defeat in Ireland - beat Georgia - beat Poland With this scenario we will finish on a minimum of 20 points, and it will be unlikely although not impossible that Ireland could match that, and Poland would only likely get to 20 too where we would have a better head to head. All very doable, and I suspect the first 3 will happen and we will go into the Poland match knowing a win will get us second (assuming we win in gib).......yes it's all guesswork, but it's exciting for a change.
  5. Australian open is bloody murder for viewing. I used to stay up watching all Andy's matches and would be like a zombie intermittently for a fortnight.....I don't bother anymore. I'll not get to see Thursday's match which is annoying as I'm off Friday. If he gets to the final I'll also miss most of that as I have hospitality at the old firm match......I would much prefer to watch the tennis tbh but can't get out of it. Never thought I'd want to miss the football for tennis!
  6. It was to be on the site of my old school and is on my way home from work each day. They've flattened the whole lot and altered the road and redirected the burn that runs parallel to it. I'm predicting ASDA will be built on it, although funnily enough, from a young age I always thought it would be a great sight for Morton to build a new stadium(not that it's ever going to happen).
  7. Parksafe/purple parking are good. Usually the cheapest, they are a few mins away at Linwood. Any time I've used them they are always waiting on you on your arrival and there's no need to call them etc
  8. Yeah, just finished breaking bad last night too. Didn't think I'd like it but it was superb. I actually found it very easy to get into and much more funny than I thought it would be. Loved Ray Donovan series 1 and have series 2 on my sky box which I've somehow not got round to watching yet. Don't know if anyone watched The Missing on BBC 1, an 8 part drama with James nesbitt. Watched the first 6 episodes today, pretty decent too.

    Skye

I seem to recall a thread on Skye but can't access it on my tablet. Planning a few days on Skye in may with my girlfriend. I'm planning doing walking on a couple of the days. Few questions: What hills/mountains are best for walking/scenery? My girlfriend doesn't walk much and struggled up Ben Aan so what is out of the question for her? Where is best to stay? Any other suggestions? Cheers
  10. I also received it as a gift, my first time drinking it and thought it was pleasant.......but then I like sipping tequila and can't stand whisky.
  11. Well I went and saw it. A 15 rating is a bit OTT! Thought it was good. It was never going to be as good as the first one so I had low expectations. Still some cracking laugh out loud moments.
  12. I know it only came out yesterday but has anyone seen it yet? Only reason I'm asking is to see if you think it's inappropriate to take a 12yr old. Just noticed it's rated 15 and was planning on taking my 12yr old daughter. On a related note, how strict are cinemas with age restrictions?
  13. Didn't look like 10000 empty seats. Maybe 2000 where England had their flags/returned their allocation, and another 3000 or so near the main stand. I must've been wrong
  14. I have a spare ticket for Lisbon lions upper. 45 face value. I'm in the city now. Text me 07415646043

    3Rd Place

Bottom line, take more points off the opposing teams than they take off us, and we are well on the way to doing that..... Germany aside. Avoid defeat in Dublin and 3rd is virtually guaranteed. Beat Poland at home and I'll be surprised if we don't finish second.
  16. Booked also last night the Luna Miramar, 4 nights all inclusive for 4 of us......a whopping £436!
  17. Everyone is missing the point here. It's possible to be lucky and good! You can't deny its a tad lucky to get 2 late goals in consecutive away matches, but just because it's a tad lucky doesn't mean it's not deserved. Ireland are in a stronger position than anyone in the group at present in my opinion, but if we beat them I reckon we're arguably the team doing better than anyone. I reckon we'll draw at Celtic park and win away, just my hunch.
  18. That was my follow on question..... would anyone settle for third. I wouldn't have before the group started, now -despite thinking it achievable to win the group - with the group being so close I would probably grudgingly settle for third.
  19. What a strange group this is turning out to be. Last week I was thinking we'll typically finish 4th, now I'm thinking we can actually win this group! To win it what do we need to do? - Take care of Gibraltar - Beat Georgia away - Take 4 points from Ireland - Beat Poland at home - Beat Germany This would give us 23 points with Germany only able to achieve 22 points. It may seem far fetched, and in great Scottish tradition we'll no doubt shoot ourselves in the foot along the way, but these results (Germany aside) are very achievable. Are we capable of grinding out a narrow win at home to Germany? Definitely, and I'd say we are overdue a win against one of the big teams at home. I know we are in no position to get ahead of ourselves, and its just qualifying that matters, but I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't have thought for a minute before the group started that winning it was a slight possibility.
  20. He's hardly been prolific this calendar year though. 13 goals of which a couple were penalties. I can't comment on his general play as I've not seen him, and 13 goals isn't terrible, but by his own goalscoring standards he hasn't been banging them as frequently. Chris Martin has scored 19 in the same period for comparison. I do like him but I can see where strachan is coming from just now. Hopefully Rhodes finally gets a move in the next window.
  21. As I watched it, I laughed out loud. Therefore fo me it was funny. Is it something I would do? No. Is it something I would encourage? No. Something can be wrong and amusing at the same time you know.
  22. I know there has been countless discussions on here before re this subject but I've never paid attention. What is the general consensus towards kilts from pubs after the football on match days? I don't normally bother with my kilt for home matches but quite fancy giving it an outing for the next couple of home matches, but may give it a miss if too much hassle.
  23. Loved the trip and Warsaw itself, however I've been to Wroclaw previously and thought that had a marginally better feeling to it.
