Con/Lab coalition to be announced in Aberdeen too supposedly with Barney Crockett as Provost. A recently elected Lib Dem councillor also quit to be an independent. -

Speaking of which, just the other day Alex Smith was moaning about how all his auld pals aren't getting jobs anymore http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39916400 "A lot of good, experienced managers get ignored now because they are experienced, they have set ways of working," -
Robertson to Liverpool would be amazing but I just can't see it. More likely he'll go to one of the mid table teams - Everton, West Ham, Southampton, Leicester or West Brom - any of them need a left back/left wing-back ?

There's been some suggestion that Scott McTominay will feature for Man Utd in today's game against Spurs.

What the bloody hell ............. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/why-dont-you-f-back-10417461#ICID=sharebar_twitter James Heappey, English Tory MP defending his seat in Somerset, tells a schoolgirl that supports Scottish independence to "fück off back to Scotland". Of course he naturally claims that he was "only joking"

Hughes gone too. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39910717 But with a little help from his numerous mates in the football media, Hughes will no doubt be back creating misery at another club in six months or so. -
Could be a good signing for Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs or Rangers perhaps ? Probably a few English Championship clubs willing to give him a chance.

That's because a few people play far too much Football Manager on their computer and can't tell the difference between simulated reality and actual reality.

Swap Darren Fletcher for James McArthur and that would be my team. Sadly, I have a nasty hunch that Strachan will bottle it and drop Armstong from the line up. Same too with one of either Tierney or Robertson, he'll play Anya coming at right back. And bloody Forrest will still get a fawking game

Katy Clark is in a mighty big hurry to get back into Westminster. In recent weeks she's tried and failed to get the vacant Labour nominations going in Liverpool Walton, Leigh and now Rotherham constituencies. And she tried to get the nomination for the Welsh seat of Ogmore during last years by-election. Each time she's been told to bugger off.

That's really quite insulting to SNP activists across Scotland. It's a national party, not a regional issue party. It has no "home", and it owes no one area of Scotland any more than another area of Scotland. You seem to forget that there were tens of thousands of people well outside the North East who for decades returned home from work and got their arses out there for hours on the streets in freezing wind and rain campaigning for the SNP. From Dumfries to Inverness, Midlothian to Ayrshire, delivering leaflets, putting up posters, talking to the public, putting up with abuse, getting more often than not usually bugger all in return at the ballot box. For the old timers, this success right across the country is a sweet reward for them. It's them who deserve out thanks for their perseverance and loyalty, we got where we are today because of them. Dunno if you even new this or not but the first four Westminster seats the SNP ever won were not even in the North East - Dr. Robert McIntyre in Motherwell 1945, Winnie Ewing in Hamilton 1967, Donald Stewart in the Western Isles 1970, Margo MacDonald in Glasgow Govan 1973. Not to mention the near misses of Prof. Douglas Young in Kirkcaldy Burghs during 1944, George Leslie in Glasgow Pollok during 1966, Dr. Robert McIntyre in Stirling & Falkirk during 1971, Gordon Wilson in Dundee East during 1973. -

Your also ignoring the important fact that council elections always have lower turnouts than general elections. -

They openly preach hatred and discrimination against millions of people because of their religion and ethnicity. That might be fine with you but certainly bloody isn't with me. Their views on gay people and women's rights aren't exactly very nice either. -

Firstly, Gibb left the SNP circa 1940 because he only supported advanced devolution and not independence. Secondly, it was revealed after his death in 2010 that Wolfe had become a Roman Catholic upon his second marriage to Kate McAteer in 1993. Wolfe's funeral was a Roman Catholic mass in Hamilton. Do keep up old chap. It's also worth pointing out that one of the SNP's founders, Compton Mackenzie, was a devout Catholic. -
Today's paper pish ........ Kieran Tierney linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester Utd for perhaps £20,000,000. Barrie McKay possibly leaving Rangers

Independence aside, I thought Dame Ruth's (Savior of the Union) new Scottish Conservatives were supposed to be "modern", "progressive" and "inclusive" types that embraced 21st Century social liberal society ? http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/15270046.Meet_the__extremist__Tories_elected_to_Scots_councils/?ref=mr&lp=4 Btw why do Daily Express articles get advertised on the Herald's website ?

Here's the full text of the Sunday Herald investigation that Toepoke posted earlier http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/15270068.Orange_Order_elected_to_councils_as_Labour_and_Tory_members/?ref=mr&lp=2 Brilliant response from Labour
