  1. It's bizarre though (and I I'm not having a swipe at Dons fans) that there aren't enough Aberdeen fans to keep a thread going when their team gets humped
  2. Well, last season it was (paraphrase) "St Johnstone laid down to a very poor Celtic side" despite Celtic only getting the upper hand after Dave Mckay got sent off after a dive from a Celtic player. This season, it has been implicated that I am a “Right sheep’s dongler” That’s a shame because all the Aberdeen fans I know, without exception, are good lads. All the Aberdeen fans on here appear to be top people too.
  3. ..who, when they were in the bottom 6, had beaten the top of the league by 4 clear goals, there would have been a 69 pager by now. Instead, no doubt, the finger will be pointed on messageboards and in pubs the length of Union Street, that St J are the cause of Aberdeen not winning the league. Wake up, it's your own failings.
  4. .. there would have been a thread about a 10 man team coming back from a penalty goal to win. I was totally convinced we would win. Slightly concerned that internet media suggesting TW is a target for Utd. But, when the guy puts his mind to it, he (and Calum) are tatical geniuses. (Just wish he could have worked out how to beat Killie) Saturday at Mcd was one of the most satisfying games of football I have seen since the Scottish Cup semi final at Ibrox a year and a half ago. Better than the final. Braw
  5. My pal's dad has had a few sketches done by the BBC on Not The 9 O'Clock News and Kick Up The 80's. He keeps sending me links showing sketches his dad wrote. As for Mountain Goats, I don't get it (although some of my pals from down south have branded it the best sit com since Terry and June)
  6. People thought I was barmy when I said at half time that Saints would win in the end. I honestly felt confident.
  7. Let me point you in the direction of a post I made earlier http://tartanarmyboard.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=5912&hl=
  8. Well, one more ticket freed up :-( Wife was admitted to hospital on Monday and, although she is making steady progress, I gave in and let SFA know I'm not going to make it. Gutted is an understatement. Georgia is my favourite ever destination and, a couple of years ago, I was back visiting friends I made in 2007. I had made arrangements to meet them again but had to cancel The wife said I should head over on my own (we were going to her parents in Lithuania then I was making my own way to Tbilisi and meeting my usual crew over there) but, to be fair, she had been on morphine at the time ;-) Have a ball everyone. If you are there for a few days, I suggest you take the chair lift up the mountain. There's a braw wee bar up there next to a mountain lake which is good. And the view is awesome.
  9. Michael O'Halloran has been absolutely brilliant in a piss poor St J team this season
  10. I think you have your vowels back to front. I assume you mean Shardeni Street
  11. I'm travelling on my own from Vilnius via Riga, arriving in Tbilisi 03.55 on Thursday morning. Back out Saturday afternoon via Kiev to Vilnius. However, I'm meeting my pals over there who are travelling from Scotland. Cannae wait
  12. Without doubt, my favourite trip, and I've had plenty good ones. The friendliness of the people I met was just incredible. On one occassion, a local guy came and sat with our group for a couple of hours. When we went to leave and pay our tab, we found out that that he had already squared everything up. On point of the "Tbilisi Tummy", I was effected by that too but only as I got back into the house. That, after having spent nearly a week over there. People were there for various perious of time, I find it strange therefore that everyone was affected on the day they left/just after they returned home. I have a hunch it was something people picked up in the airport bars/cafes or on the in flight grub on the way home. Just my opinion.
  13. I have seen him slagged off on here before, but I like Bill Turnbull. But I stopped watching BBC Breakfast a while back because it was all "Blah blah blah in England" "Blah blah blah in England and Wales" The blah blah blah bits were usually about some obscure subject like "A study has found that there are more right handed girls in primary 7 than left handed boys (in England and Wales). Then that Geordie lass will pipe up that the cost of buying a 3 bedroom mid terrace house in Weston Super Mare has increased in price by 2 bob. That is followed by a report on the latest big name signings by Port Vale. Then that smiley smiley blonde weather girl will harp on about the weather in south east England for 3 minutes and give 3 seconds to the whole of Scotland. At last, it's time for the Scottish news, But it's crammed into a 2 minute slot, to report everything that's happened everywhere from Shetland down to the borders and repeated every half hour. Now I just watch re-runs of Goodnight Sweetheart whilst eating my Sultana Bran
  14. Oh, I'm never any good at predicting so this will probably come back to haunt me. Here goes, Hearts will finish 7th
  15. I'm quite happy despite the result (we usually get beat the first game of the season) We scored 3 goals for the first time in yonks. There were only 3 quarters of what i would consider Saints top defence in place. Murray D didn't start, Chris M went off early, 2 first pick midfieders in my eyes. Hearts arenay as good as they think they are and this result might just be enought to convince them that they are
  16. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jul/14/georgia-accuses-russia-of-violating-international-law-over-south-ossetia
  17. Aye, I'm getting in at 3am. I contacted the hotel and they are letting me in for half price, which I think is quite reasonable as I'll get a kip and breakfast.
  18. The last time, I got a few Lari out of the ATM in the airport upon arrival. The airport website says there are currently 6 ATMs http://www.tbilisiairport.com/en-EN/airportguide/Pages/BanksandCurrencyExchangeOffices.aspx
  19. Only kidding about the previous photo. It was taken in Georgia but it wasnt my taxi. I was there in 2007 and met some lovely people. Went back to stay with them a couple of years ago and they drove me the length and breadth of the country. They showed me how near the Russian tanks had got to Tbilisi and it was very close. Blimey! There is a cable car up the hills t the back of Tblisi which (I dont tink) was there the lat time Because I met so many lovely people over there and was taken under their wing, I might be biased but Georgia is my favourite trip.
  20. I never got any survey. Last e mail I got was the ticket alert for the home games. Anyway, I'm going and meeting my pals over there (I'm travelling from Lithuania)
  21. I thought this might be of interest since we will be over there soon. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-33126074
  22. Sorry, I have researched and I am still unclear. Is this correct? Is it better for me to vote for another indy supporting party in my list vote than voting twice for SNP? #cannaegetmyheidrouindit http://blog.independencelive.net/dont-be-mean-in-se16/
