  1. Stuart Armstrong starts for Southampton. Che Adams, Ryan Fraser and Ross Stewart all on the bench.
  2. They all are (or I must be, because I don't understand this). They tried to get through to the Cenotaph... ... and if they had they would have found veterans, armed forces, cadets, police and dignitaries stood around the Cenotaph. Then what? The First Minister has just called for Braverman to resign, for she has "Enboldened" the far right. Hasn't she just. She may as well have sent out invitations.
  3. Just seen some footage on TV... White male thugs (some England flags) trying to get into Whitehall, where the ceremony took place with the veterans and dignitaries. I can't help feeling they showed up at the wrong place. What would they do if they got as far as the Cenotaph?
  4. Will it result in the East and West stands at Hampden being rebuilt 3ft from the back of the goal nets? No? Then it can GTF. As for qualification... UK and Ireland = 5 teams They're not going to auto-qualify 5 teams.
  5. Wee Jimmy... https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/turkey/entry-requirements
  6. That doesn't sound right. Where are you hearing that? I flew to Armenia via Antalya, Turkey.... Two separate flight bookings, so I had to go through immigration, collect luggage, etc... (as if I was staying in Turkey) then walked round to departures and I don't remember anything about a visa. Seems unlikely for somewhere that receives so many summer holiday tourists.
  7. On the subject of drinking... DO NOT drink any tap water; not even in your hotel/apartment. DO NOT have any ice in your drink.
  8. I agree with you, but we brought in Gunn. That was a kick in the baws to the boys who had waited their chance behind Marshall and Gordon.
  9. With Ross Stewart now on the verge of first team action, I'm fascinated to see how the four boys at Southampton interact over the rest of the season and if that might benefit Scotland going into the Euros. Will we see a bucket load of Fraser assists for Stewart? Will we see Armstrong banging them in now he's on free-kicks? Will we see Adams and Stewart play together?
  10. Ross Stewart played and scored in a 45 minute appearance for Southampton U21's. Russel Martin has indicated he'll be in the first team squad next weekend, all being well.
  11. Yesterday, I caught Russell Martin saying Fraser would have started some recent match/es, but he's getting over a bout of food poisoning.
  12. Do you remember when Safeway used to sell some tickets and people would queue overnight? Someone on here used to drive up from England and do that - Because he was dead against joining the SSC.
  13. Anyone see SLOWDIVE in Glasgow last night? I'm seeing them in London on Friday. Cannae wait.
  14. I haven't booked, yet. Sales close at 3pm today, I've just been told. Decisions... Decisions...
  15. I woke ridiculously early this morning (because I went to bed ridiculously early last night) and Matthew Perry didn't headline BBC or SKY news. They only referred to it after about 25 minutes of Gaza.
  16. I suggest you book accommodation this side of Metekhi Bridge OR around Freedom Square OR anywhere in between these two locations. Last time, I based myself half-way up Rustivelli Avenue (the main street) thinking that would put me equidistant to the two areas I would spend most of my time, but it turned out most of the action was down by Metekhi Bridge. Not only drinking, but also daytime stuff too... the cable car; Mother Georgia statue; Freedom Bridge, etc...
  17. I've seen it from the train (it's very close to Bochum train station) but I've never actually been there. However, I know people who have been and they said it was fantastic. Just bar after bar after bar after bar.
  18. I presume you know about the Bermuda Triangle in Bochum, aye? https://www.bermuda3eck.de/locations/
  19. ☺️ I just zoomed in on COTTON ROWS on Google Maps... There are at least ten pubs/bars listed as being in that lane. You can add to that, the lanes off of and parallel to it. I spent a lot of time there last time 🍺 🍺 🍺
  20. The wee lane named COTTON ROWS was filled with bars last time.

  22. No. I live in Southampton. TBH, not sure if I'm going to this one. Need to make a decision this weekend.
  23. I never attended the first match, but my pals did. When we were all there for the second match, they said Tbilisi had lost its edge since the first visit. That wasn't a criticism as such; just an observation. Whatever I expected Tbilisi to be, it was absolutely NOTHING like that. IIRC, it felt almost Mediterranean. Like you say, it's a lovely place. It's also one of the safest-feeling places I've ever been.
